When will Bravo HD show actual HD?

I've just received Bravo in HD from Cox Communications. Unfortunately, they hardly show any HD,witht eh exception of some movies. For a channel that has shows worthy of the high definition format, such as Top Chef, Real Housewives, and even Inside the Actors Studio, this sure seems like a waste of bandwidth. Is there any news about any of the shows on Bravo that will be in HD soon?

They show an occasional L&O CI, but I haven't seen much else.

They show some movies in HD.

Clear and Present Danger was shown in HD in OAR one Saturday night. It was a crap transfer (looked like an upconverted SD DVD), but that's not Bravo's fault.

Well I just got an HD box and so far none of the movies I've seen have been 16:9.
It's been 4:3 with pillarbars.

They actually are starting to show HD: Shear Genius and Tim Gunn are two and I'm sure as time goes on more of their reality series will go HD (as well as the occasional movie that was mentioned).

Problem is, at least on Dish, BravoHD (not SD) continues to suffer periodic breakups (I've noticed it just on TG but others appear to suffer from the problem as well). I don't know if it's Bravo itself or just Dish but it makes the shows decidedly less attractive to watch.

Frankly, it's a PITA!

According my guide, Top Chef: New York will be in HD starting on the 12th.

All of Law and Order CI is HD

And, yes, last night's season opener of Top Chef was in HD.

Also it looked like a few commercials were in HD. It was weird they were dropping to stretched SD during some commercial breaks and non-stretched SD commercials during others.

They are showing "Heat" with DeNiro & Pacino tonight. I wonder what that will look like.

Update: 4:3 SD. What a surprise

It annoys me to no end that this "HD" channel runs episodes of "The West Wing" - originally shown in HD - in SD letterbox. Not even sure why Bravo has an "HD" channel.

Were all the seasons shot in HD or just the last few? I tried searching for a list of which were shot in each format but can't seem to find one via Google. Right now they're in the midst of season two (in the 8-10 am slot) which I'm pretty sure was shot in SD.

According to this, they started shooting in HD in the second season (2000).

This channel still isn't showing much HD. All I've seen is the all day Sunday L&O CI repeats and I think the godawful "real housewives" series may have been HD. Other than that, their movies are disappointing. I expected most(if not all) to be HD and I've seen quite a few in SD.

One high point was "Windtalkers" this afternoon, not just in HD, but 2.35:1 OAR! Too bad I missed the beginning!

I will check "The West Wing" tonight...

Also, would it kill them(or TWC) to tag programming that is HD in the IPG? USA and SCIFI are really good with this, some shows are even double tagged as "HDTV" and "Letterbox".

Unbelievable. They show their own(NBCU) show, the West Wing in windowbox!!! This channel is about as bad as SCIFI!

Do the incessant popups look better in HD?

It's maddening isn't it?!

Believe it or not, I record WW repeats on Bravo's SD channel because at least I get the widescreen, letterbox picture in its entirety (Season 2 forward).

Takes up a lot less space on the DVR, too! We found watching the SD letterbox episodes zoomed to fill the HDTV screen to be the best approach.

Sadly those ridiculously large snipes they feel compelled to use were blown up, too. One of these so aroused my ire that I had to post about it in the "snipes" thread.

They show the film Serendipity in HD - they just ran it again this past weekend.
