xpfshost, I don't think that you should cancel your order. That would probably be the more expensive option. You'd lose your $40 voucher, and any replacement box you purchase will most likely cost around $60--much more than the Provantage price. The cost of shipping the box back to Dish Network for the software fix isn't very much compared to the amount of money you'd lose by canceling.
But I understand that you'd be upset if your box didn't work in the first place. Personally, I think that companies should pay for return shipping on defective products, but not many do anymore.
Another possible scenario is that Provantage will end up canceling our orders, and we'll hopefully then get our coupons back from the government.
