We've had numerous issues like this fixed when people changed out short 3 ft cables for 6ft as well as just replacing marginal hdmi cables that work for some signals and glitch/fail for others.
Hi Patrick. Thanks for your response.
In the Oppo, I try AUTO, LPCM and Bitstream, and they all behave the same. I do bitstream because the Oppo HDMI2 is going to my AVR which can support DTS-MA and TrueHD. This setup works for my 2D... In any case, it really does not matter because I try LPCM and still have the same issue. I even try unplug Oppo HDMI2 output and got the same "occasional flickering".
I try unplug the Lumagen output2 and connect it directly to Oppo output, and then I see no flashing. So, the cable seems to work fine at least. Also, this setup works for PS3.
Now, I do have a 6ft cable from Oppo to XD. I can get some 3ft HDMI cable and try it out. Do I need certain AWG (24 or 28??) rating?
Another thing I tested is that if I change the 3D setting from Auto to "off", then I see no flickering.... I don't know if this tell me anything useful, but at least Oppo is still sending out a 3D signal (as shown in the input section), but Lumagen just change it to normal 2D and "fix" the flicker. So, maybe there is some processing within Lumagen when it get the Oppo 3D that make it lose sync or flicker??
