Hopefully they release Gremlins 2 along with the first one. While it wasn't as "good" as the first, it was funny and entertaining.

heeeeeeeey youuuuu guuuuuuys!!!

Goonies coming out is up there for me in the giddiness category. One of my fav movies and it has held up well from childhood to adulthood. Not even close to being over rated and of course it is campy. Look at the bloody plot. What should one expect? Hitchcock? Memento? Seriously...

I also like gremlins, LA and Interview. I'm excited!

Give us Fast Times At Ridgemont High so we can all see Phobe Cates come out of the pool in 1080p glory !

Some of us have.
It's been on HD DVD for ages.

Anyway, I hope all the titles listed arrive here around the same time frame as in France (and that the French stuff isn;t bogus, sometimes they seem to announce stuff there that gets pulled a week or two later).

Heh, I had to go watch Fast Times on HD DVD tonight after that rousing reminder

The same could be said for any film.

I'm not willing to settle for upscaled DVD though.

When we took a trip down to Cannon Beach OR earlier this year, all I could think of was The Goonies. Really hope Warner does this one justice.

Like everyone else, I'd love Goonies on blu-ray but GREMLINS is easily one of my favourite movies EVER and I would kill someone dead to have it in HD right now.

At this point, I'm expecting Warner to announce an early October release for these in the US any day now.

Why is it so damn hard to use the original movie poster/cover on catalogue releases

Yeah, I agree. The white cover is what they used for the special edition DVD, but I wish they would go back to the dark cover with the box. They even tease you with it on the 2-pack.

That 2 pack is so hawt

Well, first of all, although you may like it, Casper does not have the appeal that the other two titles have. This is not a comment on the quality of the films, but rather their popularity. I'm not sure there are many people who are nostalgic for it as they are with the others.

Second, Casper is from Universal, and from the looks of their schedule and the brochure, unfortunately it seems they don't have any plans to actually bring out catalog titles that are new to HDM. You may have to wait for them to go through most of their HD DVD titles.

Well! Appeal might be your concern, but what I meant was id Spielberg makes the decision of his production/directions released then others should be on the horizon too, possibly?

I am watching EMPIRE OF THE SON, recorded from HDNET HD channel, seems a good film, as good old times spielberg movies! He makes crap these days!

I would love to see Schindler's , E.T., Casper released along with Indy series!and I do understand they are not WARNER titles!
Maybe, but he's produced quite a few movies. I'm not sure you can assume they're all in the works. I think his deal is more about holding certain movies back, rather than deciding when each one is released.

That said, Casper did manage to gross $100 million, so I guess we could expect that before some other Spielberg productions such as Innerspace or Arachnophobia.
I want both titles on Blu-ray, I actually like Gremlins cover art.

Any news on US release? I've been holding off on watch Gremlins since I have the really old DVD that wasnt remastered.... If the UK version is definite, then perhaps I'll have to import... I guess I should wait for PQ reviews first.
Why would movies that have IP in North America be released abroad first?

Curious.....
