Good luck, and report back on what you learn.
Just an update on this:
So I called Pioneer, and they gave me the number of a few service centers.
I called the first one, but it turned out they weren't licensed to work on Pioneers for the time being, as they were in some contract negotiations.
I called the 2nd one, and the tech said he would call Pioneer to get more information on the problem, then call me back to set up an appointment.
Well, he called a few days later, and we set up an appointment a week from that date. By that point, it had been about 2.5 weeks.
But, a few days before the appointment, I noticed I had only heard the clicking noise once in the past 4-5 days. So, I canceled the appointment.
I still thought the problem existed, but I thought it would be a waste of time for them to come down and try to listen for a noise, that wasn't occurring very frequently.
It had mostly gone away for the next week.
But, it's come back a little over the past 2 weeks.
I feel like calling the service center again and making an appointment. But then the noise seems to disappear for a few days at a time. So I don't want to take time off of work, have them come and try to diagnose the problem, for something that might not happen that day.
I do want to get this checked out before my warranty is over, but I have about 7 more months for that.
