I am not engaging 24p for DVDs. It is off. I also have color space as 36 deep color and 4:4:4. Do these two settings have anything to do with handshake problem? I am going to put in an sd dvd movie now to see. I have use a number of music videos and all of them have this handshake issue.

One way to diagnose whether it's the connection from receiver-to-TV would be to connect your Oppo directly to the TV. Then try playing the problematic content, and set the Oppo to output 1080p. If that plays fine, then you've narrowed it down to that connector.

But....now I'm wondering if there might be an issue with the player itself. Video processing generates a lot of heat, and maybe when your player is doing the work, it starts to overheat after awhile.
), but I'd try new remote batteries, just to cover all bases.
