PS3 and USB video card (All-in-Wonder)

I have a PS3 and want to make it my HTPC. I don't want to do anything fancy I just want to get SD and HD signals. And maybe record tv shows. Does anyone know if that will work?

I had a similar question. Would a PCTV HD Ultimate Stick work with a PS3? (At least to play back video?)

Friend of mine has done just this via Linux and MythTV. I can't say I specifically know alot about Linux or how he did it, but I did get a chance to see it in action and it was quite good.

I believe there is a version of Ubuntu specifically made for MythTV, I also know theres a specific version of Ubuntu for the PS3, not sure if they have combined the 2 to make the PS3 a PVR but your best bet might be to start there and ask.
