To bad you cant hook up a sound to your light saber light. When you turn on the lights you hear the sound the lightsabers make in the movies. zzzzuummmm (sorry for my bad special effects sound spelling)

Thanks for the comments the Light Sabers will actually make the sound as I am having them light up on a switch and they make that sound when turned on pretty sweet and shut off automatically if not touched after 2 minutes so I might not have them on an automatic.

Positioning the models of the 2 Xwings and the Tie fighter. I am awaitinga vader Tie fighter 1/42 scale i dont have one yet Will have to wait before I ad him. I am also planning on mounting them from the Death Star wall so you do not see the poles that you can see them underneath. I may also use invisible line I am not sure yet. I plan on having the lighting on it under a dimmer switch that would be controlled for both helmets on the main wall as well.
Postioning the scene

Added the painted Death Star Wall

Very Neat. How big is the room?
Very cool...you are very creative!

How do you keep the light sabers lit for an extended period of time? Aren't they on a timer (twist a knob) and they lite up for X period of time?

Nice Work

Great concept and looks good so far...

Nerdy, over analyzer in me:
You're going with Darth Maul colors then you've got Darth Vader's mask next to the screen? The two darth never co-existed at the same time. In fact all your props are from episode 4,5,6 and Darth Maul was from episode 1. The two should never mix! j/k

Maybe, he could change it to an "imperial guard" color scheme? Wouldn't have to change the colors, just the name.

I analyzed just as much I always like the Dark red and black Maul Colors. I Agree maybe an imperial Themed room might be a better name for it. I also understand the two sith principle and have abandoned it for just asthetics

I also toyed with the Idea of having to mannequins in there but it might be overkill due to size

So I am probably going to flank the stage with a Yoda and Jawa (still working on making him which will stand right before the BLack boxes under the Helmet. on the mini Stage I had built.
I have a tray Ceiling shich I plan on having small tie fighters in with a large death star surface.
Now where to place the R2? lol to many toys not enough room

The size of the Room is 11.5 x 14.5(at Screen)

Awesome concept!

I'll be following this thread also.

My first son's name is "Luke", second son's name is "Owen", our 90lb Black Lab is named "Jedi".
I have the original 1-16 Star Wars comics that I bought myself back in 1977.
(no, not for sale, ever)
Here's me with two SW dudes @ CES 2007

Does this entitle me and my kids to a "free pass" for your grand opening?

Been working on the columns tonight sanded them, also worked on the Death Star trench Trying to get it fixed from the side so that that you won't see the poles just like they are floating and working on the lighting. I began casting all the tiles for the other Death Star Surface that will be in the Tray Ceiling I am thinking of having the about 4 or so tie fighters chasing an x-wing the scale will be 1/72 for the tie fighter and xwings so only about 4 inches and 1/72 xwings, it's a nice tansition from the trench which is scaled at 1/48- 11 inches(xwings). I was thinking of doing the classic death star trench scene but looking from above from above in the tray ceiling or a Star Destroyer I' m not sure yet. I also have been kicking the idea around of doing clouds like in cloud city with the escorts but I like the empire feel more.
it is a pretty large space 6x5feet but should look awesome in the planning stage.
