Is there a way to copy the mts files from the canon hf100 off the sd card when in a card reader on windows xp without using pixela? I would like to do this so i do not have to hook up my camera all the time

my computer does not see the card.

Sure, just pop the SD card into a USB reader and copy them to a harddrive. That is what I do. In fact, I have not even used Pixela to import from my HF100.

I bet your computer's SD reader does not support SDHC cards. My 16GB Transcend SD card came with a SDHC USB reader. You can get them for around $10 or so.
