I am about to install a new home theater system for my parents and have purchased a Samsung 52A550, Yamaha YSP-3000, DirecTV HR21, and Oppo 970H. My initial thought was to connect the HR21 and the Oppo 970H to to the YSP-3000 with two HDMI cables and then connect one HDMI from the YSP-3000 to the 52A550.

However, I am concerned that the 30ft HDMI cables from the HR21 and Oppo 970H plus the additional 6ft HDMI cable from the YSP-3000 to the 52A550 might be a bit long for carrying 1080p. The cables are Blue Jean Cable Series 2.

Another alternative is running the two HDMI cables directly to the TV and running two digital audio cables (coax or toslink) from the DVD and Sat Receiver to the YSP-3000, but that would require purchasing and running two more 30ft cables for total for four.

Last option is to use an HDMI switch and only run one HDMI cable but that doesn't shorten the cable run.

If you had the four components mentioned above, and the 52A550 and YSP-3000 were 30ft from the Oppo and HR21, how would you connect all pieces?

Thanks for the assist.
