Currently I am planning to use 6 Martin Logan Montages, for front left-right, sides and back speakers.
I will using this setup for movies 90% of the time. My room size is 16' wide x 21' length x 8' high.
So my questions are:
1. Is this a good setup for a watching movies?
2. What is a good center channel speaker that would complement these Montages?
I was looking into the ML Vignette (a good fit for my budget) or ML fresco (a little tough on my budget, but I could work it out if its a good match).
The Montages have impedance of 5 ohms. Vignette's impedance is 6 ohms and Fresco has an impedance of 5 ohms
3. What might be a good receiver for handling these speakers?
My main concern is will the receiver be able to handle if I choose to combine the montages with vignette, which have different impedance.
4. Also since the impedance is 5 ohms will the receiver get over heated?
FYI: I don't what impedance is but one of the sale's rep at bestbuy said that I can't use speakers with different ohms.
I am new to all this, so please excuse me for any inaccurate comments and consider them to be naive.
Really appreciate any comments / input / suggestions.
Thank you.
