Total is $10 + tax

On October 15th

Beauty and the Beast $25 (again a guess)
- $5 pre-order deposit from above
- $10 Disney coupon (an assumption)

Beauty and the Beast will total $10 + tax.

Additional you can pre-order Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue from TRU and get a $10 gift card when you pick it up

Where are you pre-ordering for $5 to get to the numbers you're estimating?!

I'd be surprised if Disney offers $10 off Tinker Bell since it's a new movie and not a re-release.

Thus far Disney has been releasing coupons on all of their new releases. The recent Alice in Wonderland and all the rest have had coupons thus for so until Disney quits releasing coupons it's fairly safe to "assume" it will continue.

If someone already mentioned it, my apologies.

Just picked up X-MEN I and XMEN II in a blu-ray two pack at Wal-Mart for $15.

Funny... My first blu-ray purchase a few years back was X-MEN III. Only $40.

Not surprisingly, I simply rented blu-rays for a loooong time..

I can't tell if Aliens Anthology from amazon.co.uk is region locked. I've ordered 5 box sets of blu ray movies from amazon.co.uk and never had a problem. I have an oppo 83 blu ray player. On another note, Amazon did refund my money on a DVD box set that was PAL (europe TVs) rather than NTSC (USA TVs), including the shipping (they deemed it was their fault selling me PAL). I did open the DVD box set.

Good luck!

Remember the Titans - $11.99 @ Amazon.

Gangs of New York - $15.99 @ Amazon

I've been waiting patiently for a price-drop on this title and it finally happened! It was ridiculously over-priced earlier for a catalog re-release.

The 4 qualifying movies are Serenity, Flash Gordon, Darkman, and Wanted. They are 2 for $20. They also qualify for a $15 gift card if purchased. Here's the link.

Note that you will see other BRs that qualify for the reception of the $15 gift card, but only the 4 BRs above are 2 for $20.

If you select in-store pick up, there's no shipping and you will only pay taxes (under $1 for most). You can pick up the BRs at a B&M, but the gift card will be mailed to you.

At Best Buy they have GONY on sale for 12.99 (I believe its only supposed to be the older version). They only had copies of the new one on the shelf, so I gave it a shot and it rang up 29.99. I told them the tag said 12.99, so they checked and dropped it. YMMV on this, but if they have none of the old version to compare, you will probably be successful.

2001: A Space Odyssey [Blu-ray] (1968)

7.99 @ A mazon

... provided you have Amazon Prime credit card for free shipping, otherwise you gotta fill-in order to get to $25 free shipping level. Or, go to Best Buy, who apparently has it for the same price and Amazon lowered their price to match. Tax on the latter, of course, but choose your poison.

What's up with the big price disparity on blu-ray box sets at Amazon (US) vs. Amazon (UK)?

Batman Anthology - $55.49 (US) vs. $30.06 shipped
Rome Complete Series - $90.49(US) vs. $55.07 shipped

Those prices are after VAT is dropped, but including international shipping. Can anyone confirm the Rome set isn't region locked? Has anyone ever tried to get Amazon US to price-match their UK counterpart?

Hell, the cost of both shipped together to the US is only $81.71 vs. $90 for Rome by itself from US Amazon!

Rome is all region. Strangely, the price for Rome has gone up at Amazon UK. I paid a couple dollars less a few months ago.

NO price matching.

I don't know why Amazon UK is cheaper, but I've been picking up a lot of stuff from them lately. Many items have been substantially cheaper than Amazon US, shipping included.

I guess the secrets out now, prices will be hitting the roof soon!

I don't know why Rome is so much from the US Amazon. I bought it back in December of 09 for $60... just a little more than the UK is now.

CARS bluray has finally dropped to 19.99 on most sites. (Best Buy, Walmart). I've been holding onto my $8 Cars upgrade coupon for a price drop.
