FYI, this coupon is for $2 off of any one of 3 Blu-ray titles: "Shakespeare In Love," "Serendipity," or "She's All That." All three of these titles are on sale for $7.99 at Best Buy, as of this writing. I successfully used it there last week to buy "Shakespeare In Love" for $7.99 + tax minus $2 (coupon discount).

I think this coupon is a Valentine's Day special, so no options for anything, say, like "The Hangover" or "Scarface"

For those with BJ's Club stores in your areas be sure and check for "The Dragon Tattoo Trilogy" Extended Edition, I found it for $29.99. It was marked the same as the dvd version. Looks like a miss mark so YMMV.

Yeah but.

Their site hasn't been working all day! 500 Error!! Hello!!!!

They need to make that sale longer omg.

You can seem to navigate the site by continually hitting refresh. I managed to get one disc in my cart after 15 minutes or so. I finally gave up trying to add another title to my cart. Not worth dealing with the site to save a few bucks.

The site is having issues. Now that it's been noted, no need for each of us to report/post that we are individually having the same problem. It may help to forward your concerns to orders@criterion.com

Their email from about an hour-and-a-half ago:

It's been a frustrating day for many of our fansand for us. While a lot of customers have been able to successfully place orders, many have not. We apologize for any difficulties this has caused. We've done some work on the site, and it is functioning more efficiently, but certainly not as well as we'd like. Unfortunately, we anticipate that it will remain slow for the duration of the sale.

Many of you were on Criterion.com at the same time trying to get your orders in on certain titles before we ran out of them, which caused a major site slowdown.

To alleviate this pressure, after the sale ends we will announce a separate code to honor sale pricing on any titles that go out of stock.

And keep in mind that although the site is not operating at full speed, you should be able to place your order tonight with a bit of patience. Just enter the promotional code SWAK on your shopping cart page at Criterion.com to get 50% off the suggested retail price (SRP) on all in-stock Blu-rays and DVDs before noon EST on February 15th.

Thanks for hanging in there with us. We appreciate it!
The Criterion Collection
Good deal. I went on the site a couple of hours ago. It was slow, but seemed to be working O.K. My first pick was out of stock, so I figured it was not worth the bother. I'll check again after everyone's gone to sleep.

For those who want to post Blockbuster Closing deals, I've started a separate thread to discuss those deals (since they are regional based)...that way ppl that want a quick view on current deals can use this thread vs wading through multiple BB regional deals.

Thanks for your undersanding

Ron

PS: If you had a post discussing a local bb deal on this page, it was moved to the new thread linked above.

There are more too... I believe it is the "deal of the week" this week for FOX Blu-ray Digibooks.

Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid
Comancheros
The Hustler
Patton
Tora! Tora! Tora!

Also in an unrelated story... Amadeus is still $7.99 and Doctor Zhivago is $9.49, both also digibooks just like the above.
