how do Amazon pre-orders work? I did the same as ThePrisoner @ amazon. do they keep dropping the price and keeping the lowest one for when they finally ship it? mine's still at $18.95

Sometimes it takes up to a day but I have found that they usually just get lowered automatically. I cancelled and re-ordered on a few items in the past when I was tired of waiting for them to automatically lower them.

I sent an Email to them last night via their contact page and got an Email back this morning that I'll be charged the $17.95 (for Batman Begins - instead of $18.95).

Both of my Batman pre-orders for that day just got automatically lowered.

Calling them right now. Do you know if it will work along with the B2G1?

With a discount I got on them yesterday it would average to about $18.** for me to get I Robot, Man on Fire and Terminator. This isn't a great deal but cheaper than what we've seen on the other two correct? Or have I missed a place that I can get them cheaper at???

The coupons sent out were sporadic. Hopefully a CSR will help you. I got a 10$ off any purchase 10$ or more. Some got 10$ off 50$. Some got 20$ off 50$ and a few even reported 20$ off 20$. Of course, a lot of people didn't get squat, either.

If you get somewhere with them, I'm sure some RZ members here would appreciate hearing back if they could also call if they received nothing.

BTW, "DEALCATCHER" is still giving 20% off at DeepDiscount today. I'm not sure if the others are, but it might be worth a shot if you missed out on anything. It would be even better if it worked tomorrow, since some 24/June releases would be available for the discount (like 22.26$ for 10,000 BC).

I saw something that mentioned that the DD sale was extended to the 29th or so.

Amazon is pretty good at lowering your price automatically after you preorder one of there items if it goes down in price. Some of these people cancelling and calling them are just being impatient.

Or they just don't use Amazon pre-ordering enough to know it's automatic.

My Batman Begins was lowered to $17.95 about 3hrs ago.

I got a rep that 'doesn't quite understand' what I asked her. She kept insisting I had to reach the 250 points mark. I explained that's not what I was after then she told me to wait 2-3 days and see if I see the coupon then. I then asked if she can just give me the coupon and she didn't know.

Short version: Can someone scan the thing in here?

The DeepDiscount -20% doesn't get it to as cheap as I can get it from BB even without the extra coupon.

UPDATE! Got back from the grocery store and decided to call again. The rep informed me that those were sent out randomly and that I wasn't chosen this time but what she would do is give me an extra 750 points ($15) that should be printable by this weekend since it takes a few days for them to generate to my account so I can print them.

Who says BB isn't customer friendly!!!!! I'm happy!!!

High Def Digest isnt too bad, check out dvdfile.com. They have giveaways once in a while and the main editorials arent bad either. For reviews, I dont think dvdtown.com can be beat. For a more technical aspect on what you are buying, you are correct with digest though .

Weird, mine does not have any "exclusions" nor do I need to spend $50.

The warner code listed no longer applies to certain titles, like the ocean's trilogy for example.

Not to get too OT, but I have become increasingly jaded by digest's audio ratings. It seems all they care about is whether or not the surrounds and sub are used to the fullest extent. But this is not the mark of a well mixed sound track. For some films and moments, it shouldn't stand out and take your attention. It's another tool in telling the story and setting the mood, and I think sometimes that they miss that.

I also have issues with their video ratings, too, but for different reasons. They don't seem to notice or mention titles heavily saturated with DNR and EE. I think reviewers should pay attention to and beef about this more to hopefully encourage studios to stop doing this. It's overly common in the U.S., not so much in other countries. As if all we desire is plasticized smoothed out high def pictures. I'd much rather get something identical to the studio master in accuracy. With high definition, DNR and EE are completely unnecessary, and reviewers don't hound on this enough.

Does anyone have a list of the titles eligible for the best buy 2 blu ray discs for $25 offer? The link just takes me to a page with a description of the offer. The Halloween blu ray on their site also only shows it eligible for the 2 blu ray for $40 when you buy a ps3. Thanks a lot.

I believe this was a targeted mailing campaign by Best Buy to certain Reward Zone members. I got a $10 coupon off any purchase of $10 as part of their "customer appreciation week".

I got my $10 coupon. Also got promoted to a Silver RZ member.

Gonna use my $10 on The Hammer tomorrow.
