OK, lets say you have the get 6 now, buy 3 more deal (one of the better deals). Your 6 now are going to cost you about $10 (with shipping and tax added). The buy 3 more deal is going to cost you another $75 (@ $20 per movie + shipping and tax.). Now if you use BOGO every time, you'll get 3 more movies, but it'll still cost you $75. So, you'll have 9-12 SD movies for a total price of $85. How much are those SD movies worth if you trade them in somewhere? $3 - $5 apiece? You could turn in all those movies somewhere and get about $30 - $60 in credit. How many Blu Rays will that buy you? 2-3? So, you will have spent $85 to get 2-3 Blu Ray movies.

Even if you join in time to take advantage of the current BOGO on Blu Ray, most of them are $30 - $40 shipped. So even if you bought 8 movies now (and only paid for 4), it would cost you $120 - $160 for 8 movies. That's a pretty good deal at $15 - $20 per movie.

However, if you now calculate in the cost of joining, you will have spent a total of $205 - $250 and received 10 - 11 movies. That comes out to an average cost per Blu Ray of $21 - $25 per movie. Now, you might find free shipping codes and other deals along the way, but the point is that unless you WANT SD DVD's, it's not worth the cost of the hassle to join just for the BOGO sale on Blu Rays.

Fact of the matter is, buying BRs on sale a CH beats out the store prices all day long. ...and if you do it right, it'll be way cheaper than the stores .
