Amazon has A Nightmare Before Christmas for $15.49. Just ordered mine
post #7922 of 14986
Got denied again with the Snow White Thanks coupon. I was expecting it, but I wasn't expecting how dense the Amazon people who answered. Or, they are completely unaware how their own system works.

Oh well, going to order it today. I have other things I need to get, but that's way too good of a deal.
I've been trying every possible angle to get the additional $10 on Up/Monsters, but no luck. Now they're "preparing for shipment" so I can't cancel and replace the order anymore, so I guess I'm done. Oh well.

I don't think I'll begrudge Amazon $.01.

Mark

Star Trek is currently $21.49 at Amazon.

Star Trek Season 3 has also been lowered. Now $52.99.

That's a $2.02 savings versus buying Seasons 1-3 on BD @$175.99. Both Season 3 and Seasons 1-3 boxed set release the same day.

how abt amazon price match on HP 6 with walmart? they have it $15.86 I guess?
It seems Amazon usually does a promo code to match Disney's coupons that you print for retail stores. Like Snow White, has anyone seen one for Monsters Inc? The coupon is for $8.
Haven't seen one Phil, and the rumor is that disney will also be releasing a printable UP coupon in the next few days.

I'll be really surprised if UP gets a 10.00 off coupon since it's a new release. Typically the Disney 10.00 coupons are for "upgrade" releases such as the recent Snow White.

A moderator on another forum told people to quit asking about this and said that there will be no coupon code because this offer is not valid between Disney and Amazon. Since the forum that I read this on has Amazon as a sponsor I would have to assume that they are correct so I'm not expecting a code for Monsters Inc.

Target, Walmart and Amazon are in a price war: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33721415...siness-retail/. This will spill into Blu-ray releases, and we will all benefit.

Ah, forgot about Bolt. I wasn't in the market for the other 2 you mentioned so I didn't bother to check on those.

Within this price war, I have changed my pre orders about three times from Bestbuy, Amazon, and Walmart.

Sorry if already posted, but Wal-Mart has Near Dark for $10, and they're selling it now.

I'm quoting myself. A forum member on DVD Talk is saying Disney has confirmed a 10.00 coupon for UP will be issued on Tuesday.

I have a feeling that it's one person who got a reply from a Disney CSR and this info has been posted on multiple boards. I'm not holding my breath on this. If it's here then great, if not it wouldn't surprise me a bit.

I don't know how all of you were able to get the "Snow White Thanks" applied to your Monsters Inc./Up orders. I tried contacting Amazon and they kept shutting me down saying that it only applied to the DVD version of SW. So I'm canceling the whole order. Here's what they wrote to me.

Thank you for contacting us regarding the Snow White "Thank You" offer. This was

offered to customers who ordered the Blu-Ray version.

I apologize for any misunderstanding this may have caused.

Well, that explanation is crap, because there is no stand alone dvd version of SW.
They are ALL dvd/Blu-ray combo packs.

I know. I wrote them back saying that and then cancelled my order. So for those of you who got CS to do the honorable thing, congrats.

Well, I was lucky enough to get the SW discount, but it actually ended up only being an $8.50 discount. When I received it, they just adjusted the price of Monsters, Inc down to $14.49 (from $24.49). Then Monsters, Inc was reduced to $22.99. I called to get my price reduced to $12.99, but they couldn't understand what I was talking about. Tried twice and they both kept saying I had the pre-order price guarantee and the lowest price was $14.49, so that's what I got. Went round and round with them, but they just didn't understand. Kept saying I didn't have another $10 off, there was no SW promo, and even though I kept asking them to look at the lowest price for Monsters, Inc., they kept saying it was $14.49. When I'd ask "when was it $14.49?", they'd say they didn't have that information. After 10 minutes with 2 different reps, I figured it wasn't worth the extra $1.50.
