I know a thread like this gets created all the time.....

but I can never find sonotube in my city HD and Lowes never have 18" sizes.

and I have to order 8 feet or so from contractors.

I only want 2 or 3 feet for a mini-sono sealed sub.

or maybe someone has a couple feet sitting around??

penny... You need to find a construction supply house. In my area the companies name was ERSCO. There not even in the phone book.....I recommend finding your state construction association. Here in Michigan its called CAM, construction association of Michigan. Get there directory or just call them. In my area there are actually like 10 places to go.......

On another note I have just started my own sonotubes....and if I could go back I would not use them......we are all supposedly all about or high end audio equipment. I can flex the 22" tube with my bear hands. That doesn't really instill a lot of confidence from me. Now alot of people will site the cylinder as being a better shape for construction but the darn thing is 3/10's of an inch thick. I did do an internet search on paper tubes and found a dozen or so manufacturers in like 5 minutes.

Bonus alot of the manufactures I found make paper tubes that are much thicker some over an inch. Now can ya buy just a little piece.....Ask them for a sample....BE honest about what your up 2 see how it goes.

I found an online source called White Cap direct, they sell the sonoco stuff by the foot. I ordered the 4 feet of 18" Heavy wall column form and 4 feet of 20" Heavy wall column form.....total of $107 shipped.

I hope its the right stuff

Hopefully they package it correctly, I bought sonotube from a local concrete supplier and quite a few had huge indents =/

Yes, its awesome and I have zero concerns about the thickness...packaged and shipped. They even gave me a deal on shipping from the west coast because their tampa warehouse didnt have it in stock.

You can order ANY LENGTH out west but on the east coast I guess sometimes you need to order 12 foot lengths.

In the end this is a great online source for sonotube!! Reasonable price, quick shipping!!
