I currently have the 661 SE/R's (and love them) but after surfing the net out of boredom I stumbled across the Klipsch and must admit I'm a little intrigued.
I know, I know.. gotta demo them but I was hoping if any of you guys who have actually heard both could give me your impressions.
Thanks!

I'm a dealer of both & can tell you that these speakers are very very different from each other.

What RBH 661 SE/R gives you: Great music performance out of a traditional, furniture grade speaker. Excelent sound quality & solid imaging. Very nice all-around speaker.

What the Klipsch KL-650-THX gives you: Excellent, top shelf movie performance. Good/serviceable for casual music. A speaker better heard & not seen. Fantastic Horizontal (90 degrees) & Vertical (60 degrees) sound field offering an extremely high & wide sound stage. Top shelf dynamics. Designed with a purpose: Theatre.

Without seeing or knowing ANY of the other very important details about your specific needs, room, usage, setup, etc. I would sum it up like this....

In a family room (aesthetics play a roll here): RBH
For Music Lover: RBH
For Movie Lover where aesthetics play NO roll: Klipsch

Coming from the RBH silk tweeter to a klipsch horn.
I suggest you audition and listen to the klipsch for a long time with your music, all the klipsch speakers i've heard i found the sound very fatiguing over long listening sessions.

My vote goes to keeping the RBH. Is there anything you find your lacking what are you driving them with?

Thanks guys...

First of all I love the RBH's and not sure why I'm even looking elsewhere. I guess I'm a little interested in the whole horn/movie theater big sound thing, yet don't find the RBH's lacking at all (if that makes sense).

It is a dedicated theater 22x12 (music sometimes) and looks are not an issue.

I guess I was just hoping to hear that the Klipsch weren't in the same league, and I wouldn't have to look into it anymore.

What about the Klipsch THX subs vs. the RBH 1010 SEP's?

Imho i would say the RBH is in a different league SQ,tonal balance, neutrality wise.
But klipsch fans may disagree since sound is all about individual taste.

Since you have a dedicated theater room, the Klipsch is second to none in that category. They are hands down better than the RBH's in that area. I'll go ahead and say that the KL-650-THX's with a killer sub will have your room sounding better than 98% of the movie theaters out there.

Agree completely. I have the KL-650-THX's with the Klipsch THX Ultra 2 subs (and amp) - and KS-525 THX surrounds. The performance for movies is unreal. Also, these speakers sound very good with music - if set up properly in a treated room. Especially Blu Ray music - WOW!

Thanks!
Just to be clear, have you guys demoed both? I already have the RBH's and would lose a lot of money to swap them out for the Klipsch's.
