MP4 issues don't play now on my PS3...

So I can't play MP4 files on my PS3 since the update that enabled the DTS MA playback (version 2.36 I think). Now when I play mp4 trailers they freeze and studder. I did a system reset and that resolved nothing. I have the 20gb system and I love watching trailers for the first time on big screen in HD. Anyone else with this ssues or have an idea how to fix it?

did you turn off your ps3 from the back, let it rest and then try it again?

How did you convert them to MP4? I have HD trailers from the Apple website converted to MP4 using Quicktime Pro and they're playing fine.

EDIT: This was before and after the 2.40 update.

I use YAMB and it worked great for the longest time. The trailers which I watched dozens of time stored on my PS3 also don't play.
