Sharp Aquos LC 37HV4U - help please?

Hi. I was given a Sharp Aquos LC 37HV4U. However, the AVC is shot, and not worth the price for repair. The screen is still fine. Is there anything I could to get it to work? I might be ale to get an AVC from a different model. Does anyone know if an AVC from a similar model, such as the LC 30HV4U, is compatible?
