Not to stir up the pot and start a riot but it almost has the same look as Patton. Very clean, smooth, with snappy colors. The big difference though is that Grand Prix has actual high frequency detail. So while I suspect that some DNR or filtering is present it's not enough to completely destroy the textures.

This was one of the first HD movies I watched after I got my HD player. For a 42 year old movie, it looked very good on my Tosh 56 DLP. But then I got a Pioneer Elite PRO FHD1....and WOW...it looks excellent

Wow, it's like Patton but with natural colors and actual detail!

ahh, the tragedy of Hi-def... you can tell that's not Brian Bedford in the shot of Scott driving without blacked-out goggles.

I agree. DNR is applied BUT huge difference in the final product. There is actually HF detail that is intact

I just ordered this.
