3 foot HDMI cables long enough?

Hey I'm trying to visualize the length of 3 foot cables and whether or not they will reach from Pioneer FD-PRO151 to PS3 and receiver.. I have a stand/storage system that is almost identical to this:

Is 3 feet enough to get from TV (which will be on the stand) to the ps3/receiver which will be directly underneath?

If the cables were straight it's a no brainer but considering they have to be bent or whatnot I'm not sure.. Hard to picture as I do not have the TV or stand yet (they are on order)

I'd just like as little cable slack/clutter as possible in my new setup..

why not cut a 3ft piece of string and see if it reaches.

I would think you would need to allow at least six inches additional for each bend. HDMI connectors are not very tolerant of sideways bending pressure.

Try to buy as flexible cable as possible, typically 28 gauge.

Or you can buy right angle adapters to minimize the bend needed. If you do, make sure you get the correct type (either 90 degree or 270 degree) to match the connector orientation in your equipment. (Monoprice and others sell such devices). Monoprice also sells an 8 inch "port saver" cable which may be helpful.

Because like I said I don't have the TV or the stand yet and want to have the cables ready to go when the TV gets delivered..

crutschow - okay thanks.. maybe added a little confusion but I'm still learning

I thought I could just get a few cables and be good to go.. Maybe I should get 6 footers to be safe =/
