Whats stopping hd streaming from Netflix

Now that we can get netflix on XBLMP why can't we stream those movies in HD. The technology is there if ABC is streaming lost in hd then I see no reason why netflx or XBLMP can't stream some of those movies in HD as well. MS has more money than we can spend in 2 lifetimes and Netflix is not broke either. I feel it may have something to do with polotics think of how many people some of my relatives included love old shows and believe it or not older people like hi def to. With the Roku box going to older people and middle age to young being able to watch it on new technology devices it would be in everyones best interest to show as many show as they can in HD. Let me say that we all know that the best HD source as of right now is blu ray using an television or projector with 1080p resolution but hd lite is not all that bad.

I have a theory or two...

I'm thinking it will be part of a larger, coordinated, multi-company (hardware, software, and studios) launch in the early 4th quarter. More bang for the buck, and all that.

from everything ive read its going to be coming... supposedly the hd stuff is coming along with the silverlight upgrade (which would also bring mac support). the silverlight tools are very cool but still early.

im really hopeful that stuff moves along quickly.... some of the stuff silverlight can do would be a nice upgrade (the chapter stuff, movie info, etc). but it does worry me a little that the 360 stuff they showed off seemed to use the older version of the watch now stuff but that could all change when it actually comes this fall.
