Rotel RB-1080 as subwoofer amp?

I'm in the market for a used SVS 16-46CS (or two). I think they're a great value given that you can pick one up for less than $300 on the used market. I've been researching an amp to power it (350 watts; 4 ohm load) and I was all set on a Class D amp because they have traditionally been "subwoofer amps". But I then realized I have a Rotel RB-1080 just sitting around doing nothing. Now I'm wondering if I can simply use it for my sub(s). It's rated at 200 watts/channel into 8 ohms. Details about its 4-ohm specs are sketchy, but it looks like its somewhere around 335-350 watts per channel into 4 ohms, so it should be fine there.

I realize that I could sell the Rotel for ~$650 and pick up a more powerful class D amp with money left over, but I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts. If you were in my situation, what would you do?

The rotel may have a sub sonic filter around 18Hz? Do the specs say it goes below 18Hz?
