It wasn't just me then? I was trying to remember if she had subtitles last season. She sure lost her accent quickly. It must have been linked to her brother.

Ok, we are back to Claire being special (& hotter than ever). So she is basically immortal, n'est pas? Save the Cheerleader & save the World (again)?

I kinda had it in the back of my mind that Sylar was some kind of "control of failsafe" (but not necessarily with the Patreli(sic) brothers) for the ultimate goal or endgame.

I think the Brittany reference was a paen to The Gods Must be Crazy & it was a nice touch.

The "Villians' would know something is up with Peter inhabiting that guys body (where is the Real bad guy). Those type of people would not need any super powers to smell out a rat so to speak.

Well going forward , it looks like this season is going to be pretty open ended. I am glad that Heroes is back.

Did they bring back every single character for that premiere? Wow...

Veronica Mars reunion with Weevil ... awesome
Marlo as a bad guy with super powers... awesome

I could not tell you what happened at the end of Season 2...nor do I care. It doesn't matter at this point since the future has now changed...Tim Kring promised us a reboot, and a reboot is what we got. Dark and yet its not taking itself too seriously....I laughed a lot during the 2 hours of show. It reminded me of why I liked Season 1 so damn much...

I can't wait to hear what other people thought but this a marked improvement over Season 2 (from what I remember)

Refresh my memory, what happened to the girl that was with Micah? I liked her and her ability to learn anything. Did they kill her off? And for that matter where is Micah?

Don't know who Weevil is, but speaking of gratuitous appearances, Will William Katt be donning his Greatest American Hero suit to prove that Nikki is Nikki?

Agree that this was a marked improvement over S2 (not exactly an overpowering feat under the circumstances), but have to wonder if NBC intends to serve up this series for the next 5+ years, with each one offering a different alternative future.

Great to have some good acting back with Malcolm McDowell as Mr. Linderman, and is he real or just a figment of Nathan's imagination?

As for Niki, it's interesting to see her dissociative identity disorder exhibit a new power, and we've got to wonder how many more identities/powers are going to turn up?

I saw that too. I was wondering if it was Tim Kring's new hobby. Pulling old SF stalwarts out of retirement hell. We've had Mr Sulu, tonight Captain John Sheridan and Ralph Hinkley. There's got to be some more on the horizon. Gil Gerard?

She got safely out of the building with Micah which proceeded to burn/blow-up while Nikki was still inside. I'd guess the new version of Nikki will have resulted from her trauma due to the fire.

I was waiting for him to bust out...

Believe it or not....I'm walking on air baby!

Look what just happened to me.
I can't believe it myself.
Detective me, I'm out busting a whore,
and now I'm frozen going down the drain hole.

Believe it or not, I'm frozen in hell.

Great 2 hours tonight. Can't wait to see how this all plays out!

i thought it was a good season premiere. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here. What will dr Sharesh(spelling) turn into? how did "nikki" get her human popsicle power? Maybe that is how she survived the fireball. Well i also thought the PQ was a lot better than i remember. It could be that i am watching it on a kuro now, but it seemed a lot better.

Weren't you paying attention? Linderman reassured Nathan that that wasn't Niki. It was probably one of her other personalities whom was exhibiting another power...or it could have been her twin or perhaps a triplet...?Hmmm

Never watched "Veronica Mars" eh? Not to mention it starred the outstanding Kristen Bell(Elle), it was a damn good show that never got the respect it deserved. Sort of a "The Wire" of the CW(UPN). Weevil was the bad boy leader of the "other side of the tracks" group that offset the wealthier populace of the town of Neptune(setting for "Veronica Mars"), it provided for some good class struggle plotlines.
argh dont' tell me linderman is the new "six". not even close.
I think Heroes may be back.

They got the memo about Maya and toned her down a bit.

Mohinder gained spider powers, and is now morphing into The Thing.

We don't need to worry too much about people dying in this show. Just about anyone can be brought back after being killed off. Well, except for Charlie the waitress and Micah's dad.

Mama Petrelli got a big promotion - new leader of the Company, and mother of Sylar. Is Linderman his dad?

They'll probably figure out that there is no way to restore the future unless they go back and rescue Caitlin from her alternate timeline, because she is necessary to fix the timeline from the present.

Am I the only one who thought both episodes were kind of a jumbled mess? I may have to watch them again, though.

How did Sylar get from New York to California, and back, so fast?
Nice to see a couple others recognized Weevil (And the greatness that was Veronica Mars...especially compared to Heroes).

Also nice to see I wasn't the only one who wanted to know why the hell Maya didn't have an accent.

Still, I do agree that this alone was about 100 times better than anything from season 2.

Though it didn't start out all that well...Why was Peter running? He could teleport anywhere he wants. And then why did he and Claire even have that conversation when they both know that he can indeed teleport? That whole scene made no sense. Just melodrama for the sake of it.

Then there was Claire locking herself in a crappy-ass closet, and somehow the guy who just moved tables and everything else couldn't get in? Wtf? And he turns his back on her...why? That whole house scene also made no sense.

Luckily it did get better, although Nikki obviously has to be someone else altogether since the story started where it left off, and she was in a burning building last time we checked right? Unless I missed something...which could be, since I barely remember last season.

The whole "god" thing from both Nathan and Claire (or "soul" thing anyway) did make me cringe though (Not because of the content, but because it was done so awkwardly/horribly). Especially since a character who believes he's on some messianic quest from god is seeing an imaginary character in his head. Reminded me a lot of Baltar and Six from BSG...except not handled nearly as well. I guess we'll see how it all goes.

Yeah, that whole sequence seemed rather stupid to me as well, he can do all that and not rip a flimsy cabinet door off it's hinges, or even bust through the slats?

All I know is that Mohinder apparently should have checked for that fly before he got into the teleport chamber…

Yes, that is exactly what I meant. It is almost like Mohinder took a "Super Soldier Serum"*. Now I don't know if it is wearing off & his body is falling apart, or if he is not done changing. It just seemed to me that it was like Abomination from this past summers Hulk reboot.

*Was he so strong that he could grip that brick wall or is that a Spidey like ability?

About time. In addtion to the gore, the show seemed darker. I'm not talking about the tone of the show.
