'True Blood' in HD on HBO - Page 81

I'm rooting for the witches, but if they won, we wouldn't have a show. Oh well.
We could change the title from True Blood to True Hex....

I just want Russell back, damn it! Let me have my fantasy story line!! It could also be that the older the vampire (which genreally relates to the vamps' supernatural powers/strength), the less easy a time a necromancer would have exuding influence.

That said, from what we have seen so far it looks like if any character is going to be central to resolving the necromancer story, it'll be Lafayette & his "medium" abilities.

Figured she was either that or perhaps the ghost of his dead mother or other relative (yes, I know Rene was not black, but his character could have been mixed race). Lafayette's ability to see her surely will tie into the Marnie/Antonia resolution.

I think we can still have that. They just wont be any vampires we have seen before.

Sure, "our" vamps could be protected by some sort of reverse spell of some sort...

I hadn't thought that thru...but you may be on to something there....

I don't like inconsistency, one of the sheriffs mentioned that silver takes away their super strength. Jessica should not have been able to snap the silver chains especially of that thickness.

Pure silver isn't a very strong metal.

for whatever reason they made it a point that Bill didn't give her as much silver as he did himself....

I just realized who Debbie Pelt(Alcide's girlfriend) is, she was Lacey from 'Middleman'.

Wild episode. How much more could anyone fit into 56 minutes? Impressive.

I am so tired of all the sex, I really didn't start looking at True Blood for it to become like a soft porn Twilight series.

I do think this years action and drama has gotten better because there isn't one dead or slow episode I can think of.

I think the stage is being set for Russell to come back because his name was brought up during the news broadcast.

A lot more could be fit into the episode if they cut the nude scenes down to 2 mins and one per episode.

I would like to see more development of the spirit world since this where the show is going.

The whole book series the show is based on borders on soft core porn so I doubt we will be swing any less sex. To be fair every season has had a lot of sex scenes.

Here's my list of what will happen to various characters:
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Spoiler
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
  • Sam's brother Tommy will change into Sam and be killer by pack leader Marcus - BTW, good riddence!
  • Tara, having been spared Pam's wrath by Bill, will turn against Antonia
  • The man who was the father of the spectral woman' baby who entered Lafayette's body, was a member of the Bellefleur family.
  • Alcide and Sookie get it on!

I thought it was pretty good, and surprising that they staged a major battle mid-season. Usually they keep that kind of thing for the last couple of episodes. I have found Eric's new kinder/gentler personality interesting, but they are really overdoing it in the Eric/Sookie lovie talk - really cheesy dialogue. Eric reverting to form during the witch/vamp conflict was good though.

Tara continues to baffle - first she is surprised that the Witch means to kill the vamps vs. just protect the coven. What part of angry dead witch hellbent on revenge didn't Tara get? Then, when recognizing the real plan, she's on board. "Snuff them out! Once and for all!" says the witch. "Nothing would make me happier," Tara responds. Really? Also, the Tommy story continues stupidly...please have someone/thing eat him.

The ghost story now being fleshed out offers some hints at Lafayette's coming involvement and the brewing overall battle between the various factions looks good too. I'm more pleased than displeased, so it's a pass for me so far.

Well you shouldn't be watching this show in the first place.. sex is always present in True Blood. The series is based on sex and other craziness. It will only increase not decrease.. it's part of the appeal.

I don't think too much sex/nudity is a problem with True Blood. However, the writers have had a tendency to re-run the same scene over and over until the audience is bored by it. We saw it with the entire Maenad orgies in season 2, and even scenes like "Tommy is a bad guy ...again" from this season.

The two versions of Jessica breaking up with Hoyt were a nice contrast, and good writing. She always seems to get a bad deal in life (and death ).

I am sort of amazed by the disappearance of the Jason Were-Panther story. He really spent 4 episodes going through all that ....just for absolutely nothing to happen?

I should watch what I want for I'm grown. Thank u very much.

I love the hot bodies chicks without a doubt. It's the craziness and drama that brings me back.

You can't find hardly any shows without hit chick and steamy scenes which is fine. Sometimes, it does not enhance the show as much as great acting and writing.

These are the things that drew me to the show. And I think this is the best season yet, but I've seen one ass to many to long last night. That the last I have to say on that.

Now, on to the regular topics.

Tara is my girl, she is mixed up. You never know what she going to do next. After King Bill saved her, she look confused again.

I think she will turn back to Sookie's side with the Vampires.

That Tommy deserves a slow painful death.

The Jessica and Hoyt break up had me speechless when she slammed his head into the counter. That was great, blood splatter and all.

Jason Were-Panther part was great, I wish it would have happen. Don't know if the whole Panther clan will show back up, but I love that back woods chick that Jason was with. Can't remember her name.

She got naked on the show before they were even married. Plus, Anna is also into chicks. Stephen Moyer hit the jackpot!

I was impressed with this episode, they really packed a lot into it.

Sookie being naked is only bad in the sense that Jessica, who should be naked often, never is.
