'True Blood' in HD on HBO - Page 88

The closing scene is yet another moment where Sookie chooses not to use her power.

Not that I didn't enjoy the scene, but how many were thinking 'Hey, Use the Fairy Force!'

I think a little oncoming buckshot qualifies as enough emotional stress to conjure the power.

Cute and crazy.

And sets up a vampire catfight with Jessica.

I believe she said something to the effect she couldn't control it....

That was countered though in the beginning with Marley. Sookie actually conjured her powers up at will. The thing is, though she didn't have enough time with a finger on the trigger. By the time she charged up at least two shots would have gone off.

However, it isn't very plausible for someone to survive a shotgun blast to the head at that range.
Buckshot (and probably birdshot) would penetrate the skull and damage brain tissue.

What magic could remove shot from the brain?
Can't leave it in there.

Agree on the plausibility but we don't know if it grazed her or hit her directly and it is HBO. Jason shouldn't have survived a couple of weeks ago when Pam blasted the force field but a little V and he was none the worse for wear. Personally I hope Tara is dead and she stays dead or at least some vamp says there is buckshot on the brain and we can't get it out, if we revive her she'll be brain dead. Giving characters V to cure all ills is getting tired.

since Alan Ball has stated that he has 'big plans' for Tara I'm thinking it will be more then just reviving her with V...most likely she will be turned into a vampire

Hey!
Let's turn her in to a brain-dead zombie and have her lead a full-blown zombie apocalypse next season!

Why not it's about the only thing missing so far, unless you count Terry in costume.

I agree with Snickering Hound's earlier post. Had to be Pam that dug him up; nobody else knew where he was buried. Unless he had another "offspring" that was able to sense where he was.

Unfortunately, Tara may well have survived, the shotgun pellets just grazing the right side of her head. Was really shocked to see Sookie finish off Debbie like that - almost like she didn't intend to pull the trigger and was surprised it happened. Maybe she was being manipulated by FarieFolk during that moment?

They will probably make the vampire blood heal her but in that scene it is far from a grazing, you can see the entire side/back of her head explode all over the cabinets.

But when she was standing there with Erik and Bill she talked about it and turned and summoned it no problem. They are inconsistent in what they say because she sure seemed to be able to conjure it up whenever she wants to.

That all happened too fast for me to see, but the skin covering the skull is rich in blood vessels - there would be a lot of blood and hair showered about even if she had just been grazed.

Um, sorry if anyone hasn't had their morning coffee yet.

That's probably going to be it. Eric will save her because Sookie asks him to and he loves her too much to refuse - awwww - and during the process Tara gets turned. So now Eric, the vamp Tara hates and fears the most - is now her maker. Which makes Pam, the vamp Tara hates and fears second most, her sister. Much drama ensues.

We'll then have two baby vampires to cause mischief and havoc! Oddly, both have no-nudity clauses in their HBO contracts.

It also appears that they are setting up a Bill/Eric bad-ass duo, probably to fight the reappearance of Russell. You had to love the comic relief comment from Eric during the burned-at-the-stake scene, where Sookie and the others were caring for Lafayette: "excuse me, we're getting a little crispy up here".

And Pam is always good for some humorous lines: "I'm so over Sookie and her precious fairy vagina. And her unbelievably stupid name. F--- Sookie!" Laughed hard at that one, along with the nod to Walking Dead by Arlene: "zombies are the new vampires, you know".

I don't know why he showed up at Jason's doorstep. He can't come in unless Jason invites him.

I actually envisioned something along these lines. Pam heads over to Sookie's house to kill her and while there comes across what happened. Seeing as she had it out for Tara as well, she decides to turn her into a vamp because she knows Tara despises them and that would almost be a worse fate than death for her.

+1

It didn't take that long to conjure it up she could have used it.

I think Pam knows by now that if she did any harm to Sookie that Eric would either kill her or disown her for life. She loves Eric too much to allow that to happen.

Well thank goodness they killed off Tara. Pointless, whining character. I couldnt take much more of her depression.

Not even sure he's really a vamp--it was Halloween. Doesn't make sense to show Jason he's a vamp BEFORE being invited in, unless he means Jason no harm and just wanted to stop by and say "Hi...I'm a vamp now...look!". Or it could be he's not the brightest vamp.

I'm betting it was a Halloween gag--fake "pop-out" fangs, just to mess with Jason.
Does it really make sense for him to put on fake fangs to "mess with" someone who he trained to kill vampires?
