Point is, "mainstreaming" clearly isn't an option as every vampire is inherently evil and even the "good" ones commit atrocities that would be considered terrible life sentencing crimes for humans. We're meant to hate the people that go around killing supes, and maybe that's true for supes in general (beyond just vampires), but put yourself in this world. If the show is an accurate portrayal of that world, should humans not
be hunting vampires into extinction?
Oh yes, I agree with you on that. Human instinct would be to exterminate them. Not really a smart move, especially since they haven't said what their population is, not to mention, they can turn humans to vamps. That's actually where the vamps have screwed up, they should have turned the most powerful humans in the world, that would automatically put them on their side.
You do bring up an interesting question though, as a common person, do you fight against them, or try to get in good with them (or be turned) in order to survive?
And Sharp1080, bobby94928 was correct, my point was we don't need to eat beef to survive. (Though I eat plenty of beef myself, love it!)
Just for comparisons sake, we as humans could live off of baby food, as long as it has all of the vitamins and nutrients we need, we'd be fine. But I believe instinct tells us to eat solid foods. We actually crave it.
The same could be said for vamps. Yeah, they can survive off True Blood, but their instincts are just telling them that human blood is much better. Does that make them evil? In our eyes, yeah, but to them, nope. As I said before, they get a different set of morals than we do.Edited by taz291819 - 8/2/12 at 4:56pm
