New HDMI cord vs Old HDMI cord

I'm probably just being greedy but I was wondering if there is a difference in quality of the signal being sent out.

I currently have my SC Atlanta HD DVR hooked up to my TV via HDMi cord supplied by Comcast. So far the picture is great and absolutly no complaints. But I have no idea how old it is or if that even matters. I have my new HDMI that came with the TV used on my upconv. DVD player to the TV.

Does quality diminish at all with age or as long as the signal is good the HDMI will be just fine no matter how old?

Thanks

Don't fix what isn't broken. It's digital, if you are getting an excellent picture, it's fine.
