Hey everyone, getting a bit frustrated here.
So over the weekend I upgraded to the ATI 4850 video card. I have my PC hooked up to my TV/Surround Sound, so I've decided to utilize the HDMI capability since I also watch hd-dvd/blu-ray on the PC. I have a lot of games installed on my PC, and EVERYTHING works fine, outside of Madden of course.
The problem I'm having is that the only sound I am getting in the game is the menu music. I don't get menu sound effects, or ANYTHING in the actual game. It's total silence. And when the HDMI clicks over on my receiver, I get the "no signal" message, where at least I get something while I'm in the menu. As I've said I have a ton of other games that I play (MVP 2005, Bioshock, Crysis, Oblivion, Morrowind, Orange Box, DMC, list goes on,) and all of these games work totally fine, just as they did before I used HDMI for my audio.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is there something out there that could potentially solve this problem for me? I know Creative Labs made that Alchemy program that helped with legacy sound over digital devices, but that is only for the X-Fi/Creative labs products. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
