LC 32D43U Wii Component Cable Problem

My component cables are giving me a very bright white screen that makes it impossible to read. The composite cables are horrible as well. I'm wondering if it could be the cables or the tv. I've tried to change settings but even turning brightness and backlight down to the lowest possible settings I was unable to read anything clearly -- as horrible as it would have been.

Clearly Component cables are not designed to be this way. Is there such thing as bad cables? Should I buy new ones? I did get them on Amazon for around $5.

Tried with different component cables, still didn't work.

Tried with original composite cables, looks the same as with component.

What's going on? Anyone else have this much trouble with a Widescreen Sharp and Wii??
