so i was wondering if anyone was going to do a laid back madden league for people that work 6 days a week.. i could play one game per week maybe 2, but i just want to play in a mature league... anyways i was just wondering if there was an interest....
I am interested in the same sort of thing, and I know of one other that would be interested as well. I would be up for running it if no one is interested in doing that.

If I am running it I am going to be doing it with a fantasy draft. So if you are still down with that send me a PM and the team you want and I will put it together.

how does a fantasy draft work??

You list your preferences for specific players and/or positions. And then the CPU will run the draft for the entire league. So it is kinda randomized based on you preferences. Just to even the playing field throughout the league a bit.

So it re-drafts every single player in the league or just rookies/unsigned players?

I don't know how it would work. I'm good for a few games a week, nighttime pacific time. I always play the Raiders. I play more NFL style and not the run 20 yards back to heave long bomb to Moss type. I tend not to use a mic because I listen to music very loud, but I could mic up for a few games.

so then the team you pick doesn't matter?? i just wanted it to be laid back where we all pick a team and play. that seems a little complicated...
Yeah, I'd rather not do a fantasy draft myself, but I can be in for a game or two a week.

I'll take the Jets.

Gamertag is JHoff80

If it's a draft, I'd like to be able to pick my players, not the computer. Is that an option for online?
I'm down if we're using fantasy draft. Better balance.
It is not an option. They do it that way cause it would be way too hard to organize a live online league draft. I think it is necessary to run a truly effective online league...that way you aren't a victim to your teams poor rating in the game.

It is not as complicated as it seems. You do it one time and then let the games begin. This way everyone has a fair shake at greatness.
If this happens you can put me down with the Seahawks.
I'll take the Chargers if this thing is a go.

Just something to be aware of ...

My cousin started a nightly league and most of the guys have quit playing already because of the freezing/disconnect issues (he had several friends that have had the game for almost a week due to a local retailer breaking street date) .

Yah it seems kind of lame just picking a team for jersey colors and having none of the actual players on the correct team. Team ratings don't usually have quite as much of an effect as most people think they do. Maybe AVS needs two leagues.

But as DaGamePimp mentioned, we might want to wait a bit to see if EA irons out the technical issues.

yeah i agree on the 2 leagues i want to play with the actual players...

I'm in for a regular league. Bears are my squad.

You can put me down for the Raiders and I'll await further details. That way when I lose I can blame it on the overall stats. LOL But yes, interested, sounds like fun. I sat out last year, been a pc madden player. I'm moving over to the 360 for this year.

I have already started a online league with a bunch of buddies. We have 26 teams. We chose the draft option since there will be no scrub teams vs the greater teams. I set the league up around noon on tuesday and all of us are more than half way done with our games, none of us have had any issues with freezing or any lock-ups yet.

Besides the first place guy with 1 loss we are pretty even in the standings and have only been a few blowouts. We are having a blast with this, I even created an online forum so we can talk trash to each other.

If there is a draft league I am in. Just create a league and let us know the name of it and password and whoever is in will just join. Set a day where the draft starts and whoever is not in by that time will have to wait. Thats what I did for my second league and it actually filled up very quickly (12 teams, draft league). I dont mind starting it up if coffeemug doesnt have the time.

sign me up for the cowboys or jets if the boys are taken
post #29 of 30
Broncos are mine if they're not taken already! Hope to see you online soon!
