DirecTV D10-300, H10, and Tivo Series 1 (oh my)

Short Question:
Can one pull the access card from a DirecTV D10-300, insert it into an ebay-purchased H10, and still receive basic (non-HD) satellite (same channels as D10-300) plus OTA ATSC digital standard def broadcasts?

Context / Longer Version:
o Aged mother (aka "mom") has a beloved series 1 hacked Tivo with lifetime service and DirecTV D10-300. (Total monthly cost ~$5, her receiver is a secondary in her room of my primary sub, still total only $50/mo)

o Mom doesn't watch much TV -- but loves about 3 DirecTV channels and 5 OTA channels

o The Series1 TiVo is her interface to everything. Do not ask Mom to learn a new interface.

o Tivo receives DirecTV via standard line input, uses RF tuner / coax for OTA NTSC (analog), all displays nicely on her 30" standard def CRT TV.

o BUT I've been trying to figure out what to do in advance of the OTA conversion to digital!

o There's no way I can find to get the TiVo to control two set-top boxes (for example, Tivax + D10-300).

o So simplest approach seems to me to be buy cheap old HR10 on Ebay, use it with OTA antenna, still Tivo controlled... BUT this is only a good solution if it doesn't mean paying another $15-25 per month++ for an HD lease from D*!

Thoughts on the cheapest, simplest way to provide Mom with simple, Tivo-controlled, DirecTV+OTA digital?

Thanks...

No you can't just swap cards, you'd have to sub the HR10-250, doubt the lifetime membership is transferable so you'd need to start paying the $5.99 DVR fee also.
