Epson emp TW700 and emp TW680

Hi! im in a hunt for a 720p projector and im choosing between panasonic and epson..i went to the epson website, middle east one, and found this models. and i emailed the shop that is distributing epson projector here in UAE and asked about this two projector models..they said the emp TW700 have been discontinued already and this emp TW680 replaces it. my question is, are these two models the same? and what is US models for these two? thanks...

Hi keema,

The TW700 is a few years old now. The North American model is the PowerLight Pro Cinema 810. The new this year Powerlight Home Cinema 720 is virtually identical to the TW700/PC810.

There is no equivilant to the TW680 currently in the NA lineup. It most closely resembles the discontinued North American Powerlight Home Cinema 400. The HC720 replaced the HC400 in North America.

It appears that the biggest difference between the TW680 and the TW700 is the lens. The TW680 is a 1.5x zoom while the TW700 is 2x zoom.
