Center and Surrounds to match Polk RTI10s

So I found some RTI10s locally that I am going to pick up for a song. They do not have any of the CSI5s in stock for a center however.

If I cannot find a CSI5 locally and/or on the Internet, what is another good center that I can get that will match the RT10s?

Also, any reccomendations for in ceiling Polks for my rear surrounds that will match this setup?

FYI, this is a 5.1 setup from an HK AVR 635 receiver. 70% HT, 20% games, 10% music.

Thanks,
Chris...

CSi5s do show up from time to time - check the Polk audio forum as folks there have stuff for sale and they post specials that they find on the web.

Good luck,
Erik

well I picked up the RTI10s as well as a CSIA6. The guy threw me a good deal on the CSIA6 since I mentioned buying a CSI5 online. So hopefully they'll match well enough, my reading online and the sales guy's comments leads me to believe they will. I also have 30 days to try it and see if I like it so I can always return it if I find a CSI5 for less than the deal he gave me on the CSIA6.

That being said. I still need to figure out the rear surrounds. Probably going to go with in ceilings but I'm not sure which ones yet.

Thanks!

Are the RTI4s matched for the RTI10s as a good surround speaker? Or should I look into the reccomended (by Polk) FXI5s?

Thanks,
Chris...

Rti4 and Rti10 will match well sonically. So does the FXi5. The FX speaker is a dedicated surround speaker whereas a Rti4 could be used for stereo listening, as mains in a HT setup or as surrounds.

I guess it depends on the application which will be better for you. If you're going 70% HT, maybe the FX is what you need, it'll do more sound reflecting of background noises.

The Rti4 is probably quite a bit cheaper though.

The reason I wansn't looking at the FXIs is I don't have enough space behind the counch to the wall to mount these. Basically the couch is at the wall.

I was thinking with the RTI4s I could mount them on stands at the back corners of the couch directed to the listening area.

Speaking of the FXIs... How much space behind the couch is required to get good effect form the FXIs?

If my couch is up against the back wall do I lose the effect of using the FXIs as opposed to using the RTI4s on a stand at the back corners of the couch?

Put them slightly in front of the couch on the side walls about 2-3' above the listening position.
