does anyone have any idea on the possible availability or even existence of a TH-58PF11UK or a TH-58PH11UK?

thats odd. any idea why? are they phasing out the larger professional displays?

Boy a 6020 would also look nice in my den I might be able to swing moving the 50PZ85U into the living room but I'll probably wait a couple of more months before bringing that up Of course if I get lucky and somebody buys my other set I'd be good to go

I think the full glass covering panel and bezel is the Future.

I love the look. It insulates from noise. It protects from damage. It adds structural integrity.

Nice set up...but Panny...for the love of all that is holy, it's 2008, get rid of the folding door...puleeez.

What's with this quote from Chris's posted spec sheet? Does Panny have some stealth tech in this model they haven't talked about?


On a more serious note - it appears there is no equivalent of the motion smoothing or anti-judder technologies like 5:5 playback built into the Kuros and most high-end LCDs The only line in the specs that is of relevance makes a very vague reference to "motion pattern noise reduction", whatever that means:


Can you Chris or someone else who now has this set comment on the level of jerkiness and judder on 1080p/24 playback (or any other type of DVD film playback)? Personally I loathe this effect, judder would be a deal-killer for me....

Huh??? Is this something definitive you have recently heard Chris, or is it something you are inferring? Up to this point all other indications are that the 58's will be released Oct/Nov time frame (possibly only in PF 1080p form though).

...any additional info you have regarding the comparison of these two sets (58 800u and 55a950) in the near future will be most welcome...after my definitive decision in the "slightly-later-than-near future", i will only need to wait for that sweet price drop by you

So, the stand that is always pictured in the stock photos is definitely NOT included, correct? I don't see anyone advertizing the base/stand for this unit yet. Can someone confirm? I don't plan to wall mount and I know I can fabricate a stand for less than $699, or $500 or whatever the ultimate cost may be. Is this "standless" out of the box configuration common with plasmas?

I am waiting for confirmation one way or other not many seem to know for sure. My vote is that the PF11 should come out sometime, but maybe Chris knows something I dont, he did get the first info on the 58PZ800 and now us lol

Not sure if the manual for the 58PZ800 has been posted but its too big to upload, if anyone needs it just PM me.

i think that there are others too that are very interested in these 2 sets (maybe even the xbr8 but it looks like $$$$)...my hope is if there is enough interest that chris (cleveland) will seriously compare the two...however i am heading to the magnolia store the second week in september to do my own comparison - sadly, in the store is the only way i will be able to compare)...
