Receiver losing video sync on white scenes

Having a problem with my Yamaha HTR-6090 receiver and my projector. A quick search of the forum shows that this has happened with other brands too...

My computer's HD output is connected to my receiver via component cables (I switch the video sources through the receiver). Whenever a scene plays where there is lots of white (such as clouds, snow, etc...) the projector loses the video signal and restores connection a few seconds later.

This only happens when the projector is hooked up through the receiver and not directly to the computer. I sent Yamaha an email but have yet to hear back from them (over a week with two emails to them so far).

Any ideas for changing video settings that might help?

Thanks.

Bump!

I took this video to demonstrate what happens. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHX3NEcKovw

As I stretch the white window wide across the screen, pay attention to the lower left of the screen. You'll see lines show on the screen that come and go as I decrease/increase the coverage area of the white window. If I go too far, it will lose sync and go to the "acer" logo for a few seconds until it gets a signal again.

I bypassed the receiver and the problem goes away.
