Thanks for starting the thread. Please post some of your impressions regarding music and movies as soon as you get a chance. I still have no firm info when the power buys will ship, but I am being told soon, so hopefully I can post my impressions in a couple of weeks. Congrats!!!

I know others have them, so hopefully they will post too.

One of these will soon be mine.
I haven't quite decided between the SC-05 or the SC-07.

Does the receiver output the exact same thing to both displays? (same resolution and timings?)

This is kind of disappointing. I may be wrong, but havn't Denon and Onkyo had this on their last 2 generations of receivers? I have been considering the 07 as an upgrade over my VSX 94, but it is seeming less and less like an upgrade for the money. The ICE amps and extra HDMI out are appealing, but I'm not sure if they warrant the cost.

Per the manual, there is only one crossover setting for the system.

I had it on my previous Sony DA5ES, and I wasn't too thrilled when I lost it with my 84TXSi, but now 2 years later, I can't say I've missed not having it. I don't see it as a big deal anymore.

Got my SC-07 August 12. It's absolutely a great looking machine!

I originally was waiting for the SC-05, but after seeing the SC-07 on

display, I could not resist.. Besides, the SC-05 wasn't due in till

the end of the month.

The MCACC when off without a hitch. As I've never used an autocalibrater

before, I was facinated with the process. The GUI is nice.

Installed without a problem (well, that's not true, I spent 30 minutes trying

to find out why the DVD wasn't working, to find out later I had plugged it in

wrong... sigh). It has 4 HDMI inputs and 2 HDMI outputs.

I am using HDMI control on it with a Kuro Pro-110FD and a BDP-51FD.

Sound and AV Functions display on screen when connected this way.

Devices hooked up:

Plasma TV (PRO-110FD) HDMI

Blu-ray Player (BDP-51FD) HDMI

DVD Player (DV-400) HDMI

2nd DVD Player (Panasonic XP50) COMPONENT

DVD-R (DVR-7000) S-VIDEO,coaxial in/Component out

Sat dish (HR-21) HDMI and Component

Playstation2 Component

I'm using Monster (no flames please.. I was in a hurry) and MonoPrice Cat2

HDMI cables

Right now all I can say is WOW, I really like this monster. It kinda

dominates everything on the rack, but that's ok... it's pleasing to the eyes

I will post more pictures if anyone wants.

So are you saying the the Monster HDMI is performing better than you other HDMI cables? I am waiting for my local shop to get the 07 in stock and want to make sure I get the best performance. I would love to see some more Pics if it is not too much trouble.

Not at all. I am using both. I had the monster cables from my DVD player and HR-21. They are still in use, but plugged into the SC-07

I'm using Monoprice cables for the Blu-Ray and the connection to the plasma screen. No issues with the monoprice cables at all.

I just wanted to post what I'm using because I know people will ask.

Will try to get some pics tonight.

Pretty sure Stereodude is correct. Just haven't tried everything yet..

Got it hooked up to my network (painless). Internet radio is pretty cool, lots of choices.

Audio with the Nueral THX is a lot better quality but you only have about 5-6 choices.

Using the remote was a bit frustrating until I realized you had to set the switch to "source" to operate it with the HMG.

Going to try to download the software for Advanced MCACC application from Pioneer if I get a chance. The only one I can find is for the SC-09 and VSX-03/01TXH here

Lot's of options and still on a learning curve with this. Hopefully some of the other owners will post soon.

Keep the 94 and pick up an XPA-5 from Emotiva. www.emotiva.com

I have the 92 and will picking up the XPA-5 mid-September.

He is absolutely 100% correct. Pioneer has used a global x-over on every version of MCACC since they first introduced it. I've owned 3 Elite flagships, the 49txi, 59txi & now the SC-09 - all had/have only 1 x-over. The 70, 80, & 90 series all had only 1 x-over.

Hope that helps everyone.
