I'll tell you what - my 57" LCD will blow your CRT to the DUMPSTER!
I owned the best CRT made and it was great to watch but never once could it make me go WoW like my 57" Sharp and the Olympics in HD and everything else on it versus any CRT Tuber is simply a nonsense comparison which is why they take up the remaining dust bins where any remain for the food stamp recipients!
I donated that CRT to a charity as a tax write-off and it was but two years old and I've had ZERO regrets and viewing the 57" WoWs me daily even today after nearly two years of viewing!
Your post history is obviously biased toward CRT and Plasma so why the fake posting after six months - your posts demonstrate you are not in favor of LCD at all. Trolling statement as if your new here to just slam LCD.
You can put the e-pen1s away. What did you do, look at my last 3 posts and think I'm a plasma fan boy? Read these where i recommend LCD, and mention my plans to buy an LCD fairly soon.
Would I like a bigger screen? Sure. But I'm a big saver nowadays, and we're in the middle of a recession, so my CRT is fine for now. I like to keep my electronics at least 5-6 years.

I'd have to really see a compelling advantage in the Z4100 to pay an extra $600 for one, and I don't see any. My PC monitor (Acer 2051w) is glossy, and I love the look.

Pick a TV that's good for gaming, like the 650/750 series Samsung, over a TV with gaming lag issues, like the XBR4.

I don't feel like my CRT has any major weaknesses except small size (34") - so a $2000 flat panel shouldn't have major flaws either.
