Surround Sound with no Video Switching. Does it exist?

I'm looking for a pre-amp or integrated (with pre-out/amp-in connections to add an outboard Audyssey unit) that handles 7.1 surround but has NO video switching/converting... just sound. I'll be running all my video components straight to the TV and don't want to pay for features I won't be using. It must be audiophile quality... price (to an extent) no object. Does such a thing exist?

PS. It doesn't even have to have all the latest multi-channel codecs. I have no Blu-ray and my Oppo 983 handles decoding all my multi-channel audio (will get a Blu-ray that decodes everything when the time is right [when Oppo makes one]).

There are separate HT processors (not receivers) out there without video switching (Bryston SP-2, Cary Audio Cinema 11) if that is reallly important to you. They cost $3,000 -$4,000 dollars and you will need to add the power amps. If you decide to go that route I recommend the Bryston. All the receivers I am aware of have video switching, and no one tries to save on costs by leaving them out. But then you don't have to use the video section (I don't) anyway, so if I were you I would just forget about it and look for the audio features you do want.
