HDOrlando, TWC dropped Fuse because of so bad ratings.TWC had to carry Fuse in order to carry MSG. TWC wanted MSG. TWC didn't want Fuse. TWC ended up carring both Fuse and MSG.

Fox,

Kind of the same thing but TWC was not taking this stance last year against channels. They might have just kept it on month to month deals and not dropped it. I think they would try one year later though.

I think they are going to drop GOL TV and Current TV too and if they drop IFC and WE, they will be back when AMC is up for renewal and that deal will not happen unless those are part of the agreement.

I don't think so HDOrlando I believe ovation is the only one being dropped for now as TWC has listed it to be dropped on December 31st on the legal notices on the website and none of the other channels are listed as to be dropped.

Kevin,

Based on the media reports, it sounded like more could be dropped. Maybe we could hear of more being dropped or others could suddenly be dropped.

After all, we got no warning other than it was a month to month deal when FUSE got pulled last year.

Things could change so no need to remove it from there columns yet.
Jeepers! First Fuse, then MSG, now Ovation! What's next?! Food Network?!mad.gif TWC is damaging its footprint again. Don't give me the excuse of bad ratings. Ovation's ratings rose more than 40% since last year. TWC will likely lose even more customers (the're losing them regardless).mad.gifmad.gif

In that case TWC will be the next Dish.:mad:The new king of fee fights.mad.gif

Fox: They actually just struck a new deal with Food Network.

I doubt TWC/BHN becomes the next Dish. Ovation would probably not be dropped if they were not independent.

HDOrlando, I was just throwing something out when I let my feeling out.

Matt, AVS FORUM,

One more post before Christmas. I think another channel should be on the chart. And I don't care if it is an OTA channel like Antenna TV because it is not a local channel like CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC etc. This is available is so many cable providers.

Live Well HD

Merry Christmas Matt and AVS FORUM!smile.gif

Live Well is a local subchannel as well. It's available on cable providers because it's connected to a local affiliate.

Good morning Matt!smile.gif Good morning HDOrlando!smile.gif Good morning AVD FORUM!smile.gif

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas. For me it's business as usual trying to help improve the HD channels chart and I'm going to improve it more with another update!

On behalf of their new long term agreement with Disney, the following is now ANNOUNCED for Cox.

Disney Junior HD
ESPN Goal Line / Buzzer Beater HD
Does anyone know if Sundance Channel HD is really being carried by limited Time Warner systems? Because my cable provider, RCN, is claiming that the channel doesn't launch until the end of January.
forhire: Good Morning to you too.

Machpost: It is indeed and it could soon be wide on TWC systems.

It's one channel I'm puzzled that Bright House has not added yet.

Matt: When is the next update slated for?

Hallmark Channel HD
Hub HD
RFD-TV HD
Sportsman Channel HD
And the following will be limited for Charter.
CBS Sports Network HD
Disney Junior HD
GMC HD (Bresnan and Cablevision never carried it)
National Geographic Wild HD
NBA TV HD
RFD-TV HD
MLB Extra Innings HD
MLS Direct Kick HD
NBA League Pass HD
NHL Center Ice HD
Nothing is confirmed yet. So stay tuned!
Matt,

An update on the pending Optimum West to Charter sale. Time Warner Cable and Suddenlink have now jumped into the bidding for CABLEVISION's west coast systems. So as of right now this post is useless. A final decision will be made in January or February. I will keep my eyes open and see how this all plays out and let you know what if anything has to be changed after it ends. Good night Matt and AVS FORUM! Talk more tomorrow.

I have a feeling TWC will take these systems as they want systems that have gone all digital! Also charter nor suddenlink could provide cablevision quality service like TWC could channel wise!

Good morning Matt, HDOrlando and AVS FORUM!smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

As promised I'm back with a major major update that will make everyone at AVS FORUM bounce!

In 2013 G4 HD will turn into Esquire Channel HD. Esquire Channel will be a new network all about the magazine targeting a metrosexual audience. Esquire Channel HD will feature new cooking shows, fashion shows, game shows, shopping shows and travel shows decated to all our needs just like the magazine. The exact launch date has not been confirmed. When I find out I'll let you all know as soon as possible.

And I also have one error I would like to poine out. Hallmark Channel HD should be limited fr Cablevision. Cablevision's east coast systems still don't carry Hallmark Channel HD. But Bresnan carried it when Cablevision bought Bresnan.

That's all for today. Have a great day Matt, HDOrlando and AVS FORUM!smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif Talk to you again soon!

Forhire,

I do not like the G4 re-branding but I believe it is happening sometime in the first half of 2013.

Have a great day!

I've had it on TWC NYC since March 2011

Jewelry TV HD is announced for Bright House Michigan On February 1. It will likely be announced for the other systems

While I am disappointed it was not Sundance HD, Military Channel HD or Chiller HD, it is at least something.

Machpost, Sundance Channel HD was launched in select TWC markets years ago. You must have misread the imfo. RCN will launch Sundance Channel HD next month.smile.gif

The exact quote from their Facebook page:
Quote:
***The launch of Sundance HD has been delayed by AMC Networks until January 31, 2013 due to Super Storm Sandy.***

So they were just talking about the launch on RCN being delayed. Thanks for the info, everyone.

Time Warner Cable has added BBC World News to the digital basic package in most systems, including in New York City and Los Angeles. In New York, the MSO on Thursday added BBC World News in HD on channel 698 and in standard definition on channel 156.

I believe I'll get all three of those channels in 2013.
