forhire,

Please link us to where they are getting LongHorn Network as they could not even that in the Comcast renewal.

Happy New Year to you too.

ESPN Goal Line / Buzzer Beater HD is a part time channel, not sure it qualifies for this list, http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/ESPN_Goal_Line
EDIT:NVM, I see it is already in the list

Cox Communications now also offers the part-time HD channel launched this week in Arizona on channel 1319 (available to Plus Package customers only in H.264/MPEG4)

Kevin,

Thanks for that.

I figured they would eventually get that in a renewal deal.
I wouldn't guarantee Charter launches them in HD, Comcast has not launched Disney Jr. or ESPN Goal Line/Buzzer Beater in HD.

Well then again Comcast has put a moratorium on adding new HD channels. Charter is actually working towards adding new content and in HD where they have launched SDV and they have multichannel premium suites besides the main premium channel in HD unlike Comcast. So you are comparing oranges to apples.

It is gone at least in some VHO's so yes it is going away.

You're right. It is gone in the the New Jersey systems. But it was still listed in the Rhode Island system as far as I last saw. I guess that was why no one confirmed it right away:mad:mad.gif.

Fox Soccer now part of Choice Extra and above on DirecTV.

The New York Times reported on Thursday, December 27, that Time-Warner Cable is adding BBC World News, although I don't know if all or some of TWC's subscribers will get it. At least it will be in New York and Los Angeles I believe.

http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/12/27/in-boost-to-u-s-plans-bbc-world-service-is-added-to-time-warner-cable

Since TWC now has BBC America in HD, Hallmark in HD and BBC World News, I think now is the time where I will drop AT&T U-verse. I'm sick and tired of E-mailing my suggestions to U-verse for the last three years without getting a decent answer, regarding BBC America and BBC World News.

Matt, not sure how you want to handle this one...but FamilyNet is now in HD.

As you might know, Rural Media Group - who owns RFD-TV & Rural TV - purchased FamilyNet this past October.
As of the 1st of the year, they have now combined Rural TV & FamilyNet into 1 channel.
I just noticed tonight while watching Rural TV on DISH, that it now has a FamilyNet HD bug on the screen.
When I went to the FamilyNet website, it now confirms that it IS indeed available in HD.
While I understand that FamilyNet is primarily a broadcast net w/some cable carriage, (it's also carried nationwide on U-verse, SD only now) obviously it is now ALSO a cable net, now that all it's programming has merged w/Rural TV.

At the risk of setting off another channel selection firestorm like the broadcast/RSN one, it might be helpful to state which providers support things like HBO on demand, HBO Go, etc. As more of us start watching television not only on the big screen but on phones, tablets, etc. this will impact decisions about which provider to use.

Matt, HDOrlando, AVS FORUM,

I have a question. I will be getting MundoFox HD on my Cablevision system on January 16.smile.gif Does that count as a subchannel like Antenna TV and Live Well?

It's not a sub channel but it is an OTA channel, no different then a local CBS, NBC or Univision affiliate. Cablevision is technically adding WPXO (UHF channel 34) from East Orange, NJ. Since OTA channels are not national they aren't on this list.

Actually FamilyNet has gone Cable only and won't let broadcast stations put it over the air anymore I did hear one local station was broadcasting it somewhere in Utah and it had to be only on cable so no FamilyNet is no longer primarily over the air. As a matter of fact more cable customers got it even when it was available over the as a few low power stations carried it over the air but it has been available on at least most comcast and TWC systems since at least the time when it was being broadcast over the air as well.

How long does testing usually last? Would hate to do an update this weekend if those will be going live relatively soon.
