Has anyone had any experience with : Sonny DiFranco, Home Theatre Guru down in Austin, TX? I've got a 141fd that I would like to take to the next level. I haven't seen many tours that get much further south than Dallas.... Thanks for any insight that may be provided.

I'm looking for someone in the Baltimore, MD area (and ISF Certified) to calibrate my new 42" Panny G10.

I'm trying to stay the hell away from BB's GeekSquad. But has anyone ever used Don Brooks or Tom Huffman??

Does anyone out there have any recommendation as to whether it is worthwhile to have a Pioneer Elite 9G 60" Kuro professionally calibrated? I am a real video file and if you could see a difference i would definitely get it done-I have two of them. If so, does anyone have any recommendations any ISF -certified technitions that that can calibrate Pioneer Elite 9G Kuros who cover New York City-Manhattan?

Hi jd,

I can certainly tell you there is a difference! Especially with the activation of the ISF modes. The color is much better in the ISF modes once calibrated than the standard modes. Best wishes!

I hate reading posts like this as I have a non-Elite therefore colors and gamma can't be calibrated. Gotta get that Video EQ Pro thing eventually.

Actually, he would be much better off doing the Elite IO_AUDIO circuit board swap. Which gives either a 6020 or 5020, the full range of Elite video adjust ability, including the addition of ISF modes. Yes, that's right! You swap out a IO-Audio board, with the one for a Elite, and it also gives you the full range of Elite Video adjustments.

The Elite IO_AUDIO circuit board, is available direct from Pioneer for $117.68

D-nice-you calibrated two Pioneer 151 Elites about a year ago in NYC. I bought a 141 Elite and it is in a home i have in Pittsburgh.Would you be interested in calibating it?

Your post, has been the first new post in this thread in nearly 9 months. Chances are that D-Nice quite possibly no longer watches this tread for new posts anymore, even PM's sent to him through this forum to him can be iffy. You probably would have a much better chance of getting your question answered a lot sooner if you also send him a email directly. How to contact him via email, is contained in the last post that he made in this thread above, just over a year ago.

turbe,

Do you think D-Nice can get my 500M to look as good as my 34XBR960 ? My 960 was calibrated by Chad. In Pure mode the 500M has a hazy look which I can't get rid off. In Standard mode it's brighter and comes close to the 960 but the colors are flat and less bright/dynamic; especially the red.
