new bulb for yamaha 510 or epson 1080

I'm debating weather to spend 650 for a new bulb (the original is getting tired) or spending 3000 for the epsom. I'm very happy with the yamama other than the bulb I'm curious if there's $2400 difference between the two. Does anyone have the yamaha and has seen the epson in action. I know that the yamaha is 720 and the epson is 1080, a little more info my screen is 110
