The electrician will be here Tuesday to wire up the circuit breaker, room will be measured for carpet next week (big sale at Nebraska Furniture Mart), and hopefully the drywallers wil be in next week as well.

We have some minor things plus the projector mount to finish up this weekend and then I won't touch the room until it is ready for paint

Here are a couple pictures I just took.

No new pictures, but drywall will be delivered on Friday and and they'll start Monday! I am ready for the project to be over... Insulation took a lot out of me. In fact, I visited the ER yesterday as I lost my balance and my goggles slid down and I got a little piece of fiberglass in my eye. They didn't find anything in my eye, but found a scratch. I'm okay, but I've got one dialiated eye (still) and have to put antibiotic drops in every four hours.

They also gave me a tetnus(sp) shot as I couldn't tell them when my last one is. Being military, I just take shots when they give them.... No telling what I've had off the top of my head.

You and me both. The drywall supplier stopped by today and we figured the only way to really get drywall down there is to remove a window . I'll be on leave on Friday, Monday and Tuesday for the hanging (wife will be home for kidding through the week). I'll prep the window tomorrow night and have it ready to remove Friday morning when they want to come by. I'll have the rest of the day to get it back in.

The drywall was supposed to be where I get to sit back and relax

I pulled the window out.... And then I ordered a new one that'll be here in 3-4 weeks. The window was being stubborn! I reinstalled and sealed it up, but it will be pulled out when the new window comes in.

I got lots of drywall in now! After the drywall suppliers left, I was leaning 14 12'x4' boards against myself and nearly had them fall over on me. I don't know how, but I caught them and pushed them back up.... I was literally almost squashed.

Here are some pics... I also mounte the projector mount. I got the Chief 12"-18" extension and turned out I didn't need the extension sleeve. If anyone needs one, I got one I don't need now.

So the drywallers showed up later and had to leave early for some reason.... The hanging should be done tomorrow, but the room has already started taking shape

Yes, there are 6 sconces going in the theater and 3 in the other room. Also, there are 6 can lights in the theater. Both the front scounces and cans are on a separate circuit from their respective lights. This way I can dim the front and retain light where I sit.

It's good to see you're still around. I don't think either of us really post on SHO Forum anymore... Thanks for keeping up with my build (the SHO hasn't had an intake on it for a few months now)!

I still have mine but I really don't drive it much anymore. I have seriously considered repainting it (the clear coat is shot) and selling it....

I hear you.... I considered selling mine months ago to replace it with a ZO6 or STi, but I bought the STi and will be selling my Civic. I also just bought a 92 Taurus LX recently ($500 beater). I can't bring myself to sell it now... Although I've had decent offers, it's just not worth it to sell anytime soon.

Right now I have 5 cars for my wife and I... At least two of them are toys. I would like to drive the SHO more, but with winter coming, it won't be an issue until it warms up again.

In reality I should just part mine out. I'm sure that I could get way more out of it than I could as a whole car.

I am currently shopping for sconces... I am open to any recommendations? I need something that is fairly narrow and I really like these (below) however, I'm not looking for $1200 in 6 sconces.

I thought of the same, however, I don't want to put in the time. I would just give my dad the supercharger to use on his Monte as I know he wants to boost his car.

Jason,

HT looks great!

Any plans for acoustic treatments?

I have a garage full of OC703 - mainly 2" but also 1" if you are interested.

By mistake I ordered twice the amount I needed and the wife is nagging me to get rid of it.

Anders,

I was planning on getting some microsuede ATS Panels as they're already complete and reasonably priced. For the walls and ceiling, I plan to get something already finished as I'm trying to limit the amount of DIY stuff at this point...

However, I may be able to used just the material behind the stage. Depending on how much you're looking to get, I may be able to take some of that off your hands
post #144 of 410
Hi Jason, I need to get some 2" as well for my room. I don't need a whole lot. Basically for 3 panels, possibly some more for behind my false wall. Can you PM or email me pricing. My zip is 33566

You'll have to talk with Anders above as he is the one selling. I too am interested in pricing.
Jason,

I sent you a PM.

youthman,

I prefer to sell it locally as quite frankly I have no idea how to pack and ship this stuff. I'm within commute distance from Jason's.

Small update: I'll be painting this weekend

Well, everything has been painted white. I was originally going to spray the primer/sealer, but I wanted to make sure I got everythingfilled, so I rolled it on. The ceiling was one PITA. Tonight I'll be rolling on the flat black for the ceiling and my wife bought the color she wants in the other room. Slowly, but surely it is taking shape... It's starting to look like a living space. I am dreading doors and trim. I think I'll grind down the high spots of the floor and fill some of the low spots before then.

Over the last few weeks I have been rethinking doing a subfloor. I really would hate to have the musty basement smell or even worse, mold. I have looked at all the common options on this forum but I think I am going to give Superseal's All-in-One subfloor a try:

If shes like my wife, she will be going through 4 colors before she finds one she likes.
