How crazy might you get with Subs? Maybe I've been reading too many sub threads around here but more and more people are adding more subs. Then there is the DIY crowd with the 18"ers or the multi-driver units. In the same breadth most of the amps on these things are a form of class D so they don't draw as much, hopefully.
But why take the chance in case you might in the future. I just redid my theater without pulling down all the drywall and rerunning power and cables was the biggest hassle so if you have a few extra $ I'd spend it. What's the difference in the cost of the rolmex and breaker?
Jason. Just read back through the posts. I think you have 2 20amp circuits in the room, at least that is what I read. Given you are looking at running Mono's (very nice by the way) in the closet if it is not a big deal I'd run a 20amp for the AMPS, 15amp for the HT electronics, and 15amp for anything else that might get plugged in in the future, or today, the IR repeater systems that run with transformers. I think separation is important. It might be overkill but if you are not into overkill why would you be looking at the stuff on this board
Lastly, I see your furnance is right next to the room. Is your water heater in there too? Those two cause the most noise in my room. For me the furnace causes noise because the heat vent from the furnace to the heater is the shortest run so you get the most blower noise. However, my bigger issue is that my water heater has a big ass blower on the top of it and that sucker is loud. Maybe you don't have these issues but it's something to think about with those components so close to the room and, I think, where you will sit.
