I was just looking at your data report. I take it that that report is for non ISF mode settings.

I attached my chart for my lates ISF night settings.

It would be helpful if you could post the raw date charts like the one I attached, from Vashti ISF night calibration.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that Pure mode on the Sig series has multiple sub-levels (very similar to a RadianceXD). You have to calibrate all sub-levels....meaning different input types (1080p/60, 1080p/24, 1080i, 720p, 480p, 480i, etc)

Very good You can fix your slightly plus green top end with the R,Y, and maybe G CMS controls.......very minor tweaks.

Thats good and also very important information people shouldnt over look. Do you know if by default a different settings comes for each sublevel from the factory?

I am posting these remarks to the OP.

Are you asking if they calibrate each sub-level at the factory? The answer would be yes.

Hey you guys. I'm just popping in to say Jeff is here. He just finished video and is starting audio. He said it was pretty close to perfect before he started. But when he finished, the picture looks about twice as great to me. Holy ****! It's unbelievable. I'll be back later to give more info.

A real Newbie question here. Once your 141 is professionally calibrated how long before you should have it calibrated again?

The calibration setup I have for my 30-inch Apple monitor has me calibrating every 3 weeks.

No pictures while the calibration is in progress?

Since Pioneer burned it in for 200 hours, is it more likely that Pioneer got the calibration wrong or that the individual calibrator's equipment is slightly off?

Once every 1-1.5 years

Can someone explain how ISF Day and Night work? When both are calibrated does the panel know automatically to switch to day during the day? Or is it done manually using the remote. If it is automatic can it still be swithced manually using the remote.

Kevin Miller is coming on Sunday and i dont want to bombard him with millions of questions , ya know. I bet hes used to it though.

Thanx Chris

You manually select which memory you want to use.

Remote.

Laptop + ControlCal is used to access the service menu and change
settings for the ISF modes.

Once you have set them up, you get new menu entries and can use the remote to switch.

Not a big deal, but to clarify again.. the ISFccc Interface is not accessed by entering the Service Menu (or vice-versa for the SM from the ISFccc Interface)... they are totally separate..

You don't expect me to be spending my time posting on the forum when I've got a new toy to play with do you?

The 141 arrived in good shape and I immediately went on with the business of mounting it onto its floor stand. Had to do some tweaking because the display didn't sit quite level (though the stand base was closer to level). Luckily my buddy was patient while we sweated through the mounting process (my wife would never have been up to the task).

First thing I did was set up the IP connectivity and send myself E-Mails (verified, 0 hours usage ). I haven't started any break-in yet but we rushed right into our evening TV viewing while I was playing with various settings trying to get the right image. We were watching HD through my PC tuner via DVI-D so it took a bit of experimenting with color space and resolution settings on the PC and 141 to get things right. I also watched some SD off of my BUD satellite via composite video input (what, no S-Video connection?). I'm displaying SD in full mode for now to be easy on the display. This led to the wife commenting about the distortion which led to another tiresome (for her) discussion about TV video processing. I may switch this connection to component or more likely I will buy the DVDO Edge which would upscale SD and drive the 141 through HDMI.

Went out today and picked up a PS3 for Blu-ray disc playback. I'll check this out and see if I want to stick with it or get a stand-alone player. I'm about to go out and pick up some bias lights also. My buddy has an HD decoder that he's going to give me that works with my BUD equipment so I'm really looking forward to watching HD BUD tonight (if his decoder actually still works).

Gotta get back to setting things up so I'll post pics later. I've got a setup quite different from anything I've seen posted on AVS.

Only as good? So I take it addional calibration options did not lead to a better picture on this monitor?

I wouldn't read to much into what umr says about the 111, 151, 141. He is a very good diplomat, and understand that if he says that the 141 is better, then how does that make all his 111, 151 costumers feel. Yes there is a difference however in the real world is the difference something that us 141 owners can see, that is for you to appreciate or not the difference. Bottom line is that what ever kuro pro you own will be great.

Sorry Turbe you type fast than me.

I want to put some people at ease

I have become addicted to playing Fallout 3. I wake up early on the weekends just to get in some hours before the wife gets up. I have logged 30 hours easy and did one session which was 6-8 hours straight. While I did turn down the brightness of the static images through the game settings there was absolutely NO IR. If you game less then 8 hours straight you are safe with this set.

AV was set to Pure.

Before anyone responds saying I am a geek..ill save you the post.
I game in game mode, with a slightly higher contrast, and haven't seen any IR either .

I played COD WaW last night for a good 4hrs, and had no IR.

I havent got WaW yet. I would get carple tunnel. One good at a time, but the problem is there are so many and they all look so great on the 141.

I would agree with you if I didn't know that previously he posted a comment to that effect. I recall him saying that there would be no visible improvement in the picture of 141 than what can already be accomplished in 151. Jeff, correct me if I am putting words in your mouth

I see no difference in performance between the 141 and the 151.

Couldn't agree more.

Yes thank you, everything went fine on the delivery though it would have been here a day earlier if I wasn't on the phone during the time the freight company was trying to get hold of me (I was busy talking to my buddy about my new purchase ). I haven't had a chance to look for bad pixels yet nor listen for a buzz (too much noisy equipment in the room at the moment). I don't expect to find any problems.

We did some demo'ing tonight. I started by running a PS3 demo loop for quite some time which includes many 1080p movie trailers. I was in heaven when those trailers popped up. My buddy then came over with his HD BUD decoder box and some VGA cables and we got that hooked up. Was really nice to finally see HD off my big dish. Too bad there's such a small number of HD channels available now. We finished the night with some "Fifth Element" Blu-ray and we were all just wowed by the image ... and this sucker isn't even calibrated yet!

Sorry, thats what I meant.

Thanks for the clarification.
