Death Race? Anyone? Why is it so quiet in here?

I haven't seen it yet, but I can't believe no one saw it this weekend. Doesn't anybody have something to say about it?

Want to see it but did not have the time with Fay being close (never landed in my area).

May see it this week.

From the trailer it looks like I'll enjoy it as a cheesy action flick like Crank.. but only worth a rental to me. Maybe it is better than I'm expecting but that's my impression. Jason sure did bulk up for this one :0

Do you folks remember the original Death Race 2000 with Keith Carradine? A horrible movie, but a classic, if that makes sense. And funny as hell. I'm trying to rent it from Netflix for my son before he sees the new Death Race, but they're saying "very long wait". I bet they only have one copy of this movie in stock. I can't wait to see it again.

Yep, I remember the orig in all it's glory. I still shout out "10 points!" when I'm driving a car and see [someone/insert animal name here] crossing in front of me, or likewise when I'm pushing a shopping cart...

Of course, only my wife snickers a little bit (more of the "laughing at me, not laughing with me variety of laughter"), but my daughter completely didn't get it until I explained it to her.

And I thought that was David Carradine (aka Kwai Chang Caine)...

Cool, I just found out that David Carradine might have a voice-over for Frankenstein in the 08 movie...

Yes! You're right. David Carradine, the Kung Fu fighter, or whatever he was.

I do the same "10 point!" thing, and I'm pretty sure that 99.9% of the people that hear me have no idea what I'm talking about. But that's the best sort of humor, isn't it. Personal humor where you can snicker to yourself in your own little world.

In fact, 10 addtional points if you can figure out where my forum name comes from. The phase under it is a big clue. That was the name (and phrase) on my boat and about once every few months someone would see it and burst out laughing. I'd see everyone else just stare at it, mouth the words, shrug their shoulders and move on. But it was worth it for that one person in a 100 that got it. Of course my family thought I was just lame.

It's sad. I use the point system when driving as well. My girlfriend has no idea what I'm talking about when I do that.
