Well this sit e COULD put a time limit on threads. Make sure all threads are locked after a certain period of inactivity and are no longer able to be responded too.

Most sites don't lock threads because there may still be useful information to add. Unfortunately this time that wasn't the case...

FYI grounding a Dish lets the static electricity that builds up on the dish from wind to disipate. It will not protect anything in case of lightning. If the house catches fire due to lightning and is inspected and the only thing not grounded is the Dish, Direct TV or Dishnetwork depending on your provider will be held accountable.as scape goats by insurance companys.
It's best to ground the dish either way due to code. It is becomeing harder to find a ground location since so much plastics and PVC is being used for conduet that sometimes you have to have the customer provide a grounding location to do the install. If a sub-contractor doesn't ground a dish and a QA inspector finds it, they will be charged back and lose any money they made for the installation.
Low Voltage switches the LNB to which satellite to look at depending on which channel you are watching 12-15 18 volts. If you run your coax through a surge protector you will mess up the voltage and have channel switching issues. Also the barrrel connectors anywhere in the system like the wall plates need to be for low voltage application you can tell if it's the right one if the center insulator is blue. If it's white or clear it will fail. The barrels in surge protectors and store bought wall plates are made to fail like a fuse and will burn up
There has been a lot of issues with Home Building contractors putting in the wall plates that have the white centers...a good installer will take them out and put in th blue ones....if he doesn't they will fail. This is the most common lose of signal issue.
