High pitch noise always color wheel? Optoma HD72

My HD-72 started making a high pitched noise - research seems to indicate it is a color wheel? The projector is two years and 2 months old. (2 months out of warranty)

Could this high pitched noise be anything else? Doesn't bother anyone else but drives me crazy. Fortunately if I turn it up a bit I can't hear it anymore.

Should I expect it to get worse?

I had the same problem with my old IF4805 projector and the problem is the bearing in the motor that spins the wheel. It will get worse over time and can cause damage to the wheel if the bearings completely fail and it goes off balance.

My CW actually shattered.
